Within weeks, scientists at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research expect to announce that they have developed a vaccine that is effective against COVID-19 and all its variants, even Omicron, as well as from previous SARS-origin viruses that have killed millions of people worldwide.
The achievement is the result of almost two years of work on the virus. The Army lab received its first DNA sequencing of the COVID-19 virus in early 2020. Very early on, Walter Reed’s infectious diseases branch decided to focus on making a vaccine that would work against not just the existing strain but all of its potential variants as well.
Walter Reed’s Spike Ferritin Nanoparticle COVID-19 vaccine, or SpFN, completed animal trials earlier this year with positive results. Phase 1 of human trials, which tested the vaccine against Omicron and the other variants, wrapped up this month, again with positive results that are undergoing final review, Dr. Kayvon Modjarrad, director of Walter Reed’s infectious diseases branch, said in an exclusive interview with Defense One.
Unlike existing vaccines, Walter Reed’s SpFN uses a soccer ball-shaped protein with 24 faces for its vaccine, which allows scientists to attach the spikes of multiple coronavirus strains on different faces of the protein.
“It's very exciting to get to this point for our entire team and I think for the entire Army as well,” Modjarrad said.

I believe this — people who die from heart attacks do not suffer from these problems.
No need for “soccer” ball...a long chain carrier with the different immune stimulating parts of the spike protein ,could suffice. One danger I see is adding variant spike proteins before encountering a natural variant. Who knows what immune response one would get from unknown variant spike protein. Suppose it tricks the immune system to attack vital tissue or organs? Wait till you see what the natural virus has first. To predict what is going to show up is wasteful and could be harmful.

Unfortunately, the Devil is always in the details. Problems from the newly formulated experimental vaccine include headache, dizziness, fast heart rate, shortness of breath, and vomiting. This phase may then be followed by seizures, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, loss of consciousness, and cardiac arrest. Onset of symptoms usually occurs within a few minutes. Some survivors have long-term neurological problems. So it is not really for everyone. /s

Those are actually the symptoms of Cyanide poisoning. I worked as a professional Hazmat Team Leader for many years. The fact that some of the reported side effects from the experimental vaccines are so similar is enough to keep me away, despite having been vaccinated for just about everything else under the sun at one time or another.

A molecule to accommodate up to 24 spike proteins for current and historic rona strains. I assume SARS and MERS spikes will be aboard.
So far it’s gotten through phase 1 trials so it didn’t kill the lab rats.
Any volunteers for phase 2? I’m sure semimojo, dugwayduke, and the cruise ship guy, et al will be happy to roll up their sleeves.
If it gets through phase 3, let me know, after 5 or so more years, where I might consider it.
And if President Trump is OK with vaccines to fight COVID enough to take them three times himself (including booster)and allow same for family, and publicly admit to it, why then..
