It's got to be tough, to be this scared, Maybe this could help with family and friends.
In the US, there have been about 804,000 fatalities where covid was on the death certificatee, out of about 330MM people.
However, per CDC, about 94% of the death certificates had more than one comorbidity like diabetes, heart disease, etc. Thus, about 48,240 fatalities came with death certificates that had only COVID19 on it, or roughly 27,600 fatalities a year.
That means there is a roughly 1-in-12,000 chance of dying from COVID19 each year.
By contrast, there is a 1-in-8,393 chance of dying in a car crash annually.
In other words, there is greater risk of dying in the car ride to the Christmas Celebration than from the virus at the Celebration itself.

Sitting alone in the dark wondering where all their guests are and googling recipes for 25 pounds of uneaten turkey.

And that’s the key phrase right there. Liberals love to respond to polls. But conservatives just hang up. We have better things to do, like working on cars and cleaning guns.

My SIL came up with this BS. I told my wife we are NOT going now or in the foreseeable future. She can cram that turkey sideways where the sun don’t shine.

I wonder how many people who responded in the affirmative have unnaturally colored hair

84 percent of respondents plan on hosting their own in-person holiday gatherings. Well, right of the bat there is obviously something wrong with their sample.
Unless the remaining 16 percent are going to a lot of different gatherings.

The survey found nearly 33 percent of hosts won’t invite any unvaccinated family or friends to their gathering, while close to 68 percent said they will require proof of a negative COVID-19 test from their guests. I am so grateful that nobody in my circle of close friends is like that.

“ Survey respondents were gathered through the Amazon Mechanical Turk survey platform…”
Absolutely laughable. Not a random sample and utterly absurd for the media to present this as any sort of scientific “study.”

I was at the local Post Office today. Ended up standing in a long line for half-an-hour because the kiosk in the lobby was out of order. There were two postal clerks working. I, and a man farther up in the line were the only two who didn't have masks on. A girl with a mask, and carrying two priority boxes came back to the end of the line where I was, and she was sobbing. She'd been in line, gotten to the counter, got two boxes from the postal clerk, and then went to the end of the line behind me, for some reason. Normally, the clerk tells you to step aside until you've got your packing taken care of, and they tell you specifically, not to get back in line. I told her that, and told her to go back up to the counter where she'd previously been so she could finish her transaction. She hemmed and hawed, all the time sobbing about how she can't take this many people in such a confined space...yada, yada, yada. Finally, after 10 minutes of standing in line, sobbing, almost hyperventilating, she walked back up to the counter, and got taken care of, as I told her she would. She never even said thank you to me. She could have already been waited on, and out the door, instead of wasting tears and energy, whining and crying about it. The guy standing in front of me and I had a good laugh over it.
I swear, if this is what this country's future looks like, I'm glad I'm on the tail-end of my life. There's a bunch of fruitcakes out there, and unfortunately, they vote. I have no sympathy for any of them.

So precisely what orifice did The Hill pull this statistic from? Or was their sample size limited to residents of Martha’s Vineyard?
In red America, the part we actually care about, the only precaution I foresee is making sure there’s enough stuffing.

My Sister just uninvited me from Christmas dinner today, because I am unvaccinated, and refuse to take the test.
