How many Republicans will step in at the last minute and vote for this bill?

He’s playing solely to the 20% of the electorate

You realize that makes no sense, right?

Your description of Republicans is simply not true. You have developed a hatred bias that reflects poorly on conservatives.

Donald Trump is the current head of the Republican party. So far, there is complete unity in Republican party opposition to the Biden, Pelosi, Schumer agenda put forward.

The only way the conservative agenda can be advanced is through the Republican party. Failure to support Republicans is failure to support conservatives

Crowley like many entrenched pols didn’t take her seriously because she was a bartender. Schumer is an experienced pol who won’t take her lightly. I hope she runs against Schumer so she will get trounced and out on her a$$.

Technically, the Senate is in Recess but on Thursday's Senate Calendar a pro forma Session has Defense appropriations listed under Pending Business, and has both S4 and S2747 listed under Unanimous Consent Agreements:

S4 (ORDER NO. 143)
3.—Ordered, That with respect to the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S. 4, a bill to amend the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to revise the criteria for determining which States and political subdivisions are subject to section 4 of the Act, and for other purposes, the mandatory quorum call under Rule XXII be waived. (Nov. 1, 2021.)

S. 2747 (ORDER NO. 125)
4.—Ordered, That with respect to the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S. 2747, a bill to expand Amercians’ access to the ballot box and reduce the influence of big money in politics, and for other purposes, the mandatory quorum call under Rule XXII be waived. (Oct. 18, 2021.)

2018: "Depending on how you count, 39 Republicans and 18 Democrats are not running for re-election. That includes 13 Republicans and 10 Democrats who are leaving to seek another office, such as governor. Excluding them, 26 Republicans and eight Democrats are walking away from their political careers at the end of the 115th Congress. That’s the most “pure” retirements by Republicans — and the fewest by Democrats — since the 2008 election.

2020: More Republicans than Democrats are exiting Congress in the lead up to the 2020 elections. 26 GOP representatives and 4 senators are retiring without bids for higher office, compared to 5 Democratic representatives and 1 senator."

2022 (as of Dec. 16, 2021): With Lowenthal’s retirement, 20 House Democrats have now announced they will not seek reelection in 2022, compared with 11 Republicans."

Ooops.

2022 (as of Dec. 22, 2021): "3 more House Democrats called it quits on Monday, bringing the total number of retirements in the caucus before the midterm elections to 23."

He won’t be next year. AOC might beat him in a mud wrestling contest, and besides, he’d look awful in a bikini. But it’s high time he retired anyway. They might name an airport after him, or a golf course, or something.

Not so fast grasshopper... hear rumors Manchin is walking back his No intentional vote! The coal union boss has just had a stern talk to Manchin... Apparently he’s going wobbly. I knew you can’t trust that socialist piece of crap rat. By tomorrow he’ll be whistling a different tune!

As predicted. As soon as Manchin gets his cut, he always changes his vote. ALWAYS.

You just know that Rat Party Headquarters has a dossier on every member of Congress. Of course the data in them isn't necessarily true...

I just hope he has not made a very lucrative retirement deal with one or two Republicans.
