Why is that a liberal talking point? It shouldn’t be. The same issues that make federalizing health care for civilians a bad idea hold true for veterans. The problem with just handing out money for vets to seek their own doctors is, there is no control over the expense unless you do a Medicare and set a standard rate for treatments.
I did state that was an agreement we had with our warriors. It worked well for a while.But the care has become quite sub-standard.
I also stated that even our veterans do not like the care they receive from the VA. So,, create legislation that allows veterans to secure a healthcare plan on the private insurance market in order for them to seek out their own doctors.
In case you are unaware, that is the very argument leftists use to justify healthcare for everyone. Problem is, it will become sub-stanfard just as VA. has become.
