Senator Joe Manchin would not have the capacity to make or break Build Back Better if all of the supposedly moderate Republicans did not oppose the bill.

Joe Manchin’s opposition wouldn’t be relevant if Senses Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins supported Build Back Better. If Mitt Romney were as moderate as he likes to pretend and supported the BBB, no one would care what Joe Manchin thinks.

The media chose to extricate Republicans from the Senate.

No one is asking Senate Republicans why they want diabetics to pay $ 1,000 / month for life-saving insulin.

Why aren’t Senate Republicans, who all voted for tax cuts for billionaires and businesses, put on the spot for opposing a tax credit so kids have enough eat, maybe a pair of warm winter boots, and a roof over their heads?

Joe Manchin wouldn’t be able to do what he does without the help of Senate Republicans who refuse to help the elderly, children and those in need of affordable prescription drugs.

Republicans are not held responsible for not caring about the American people. It’s easy to tell the story of Joe Manchin and the Democrats, but the real story is how the Republicans gave the American people a cold shoulder.

This is an interesting article because IN THE OLD DAYS, democrats could count on RINO republicans to give Democrats cover. An Arlen Specter or John Warner Aye would allow a Blanche Lincoln or Mary Landrieu Nay.

Democrats could pretend they weren't liberals with Republican help.

But not anymore. And Look how upset they get.

Note the weaponized straw man fallacy here. He presumes they all, to a man, want expensive insulin, without considering the possibility that they think BBB is a terrible way to get it.

How about opening up the market to cheap foreign sources of it?

BBB is the worst of Bloatware. It's made to break the dollar by making so much out of thin air that it becomes worthless.

Right now, Biden = Inflation, With BBB, the US becomes Bidenflation on steroids.

And don't forget the last Bloatware Biden Bill they passed. Even though they reduced its price, it is still Bloatware, Borrowing, and no Budget in sight.

The programs in BBB will eventually be infested with illegals, with DEM help, and cosst will grow far beyond estimates. Once the programs start they are hard to stop. The large ladies waddling across the Rio Grande will drop an anchor and jump into the programs like Child Tax Credit. If no SSAN is required they can add their foreign born children.

I thought about this too but I don’t think any of the 50 Republican senators could be replaced by a Rat, i.e. those state governors are all GOP (including in West Virginia) or in Rust Belt states all of those Governors in WI, PA, MI etc are flipping to GOP next year.

True. Mitch. The Turtle, needs to keep those RINOs on board to keep the USA from becoming North Venezuela. That may explain a lot of the apparent enmity between him and President Trump. Keeping up that appearance of enmity may be a way both men are working to keep the US from going totally socialist.
