I’m pretty sure the money came from the US Treasury in the first place.

Better to give the money to an NGO group that the taliban allows in to help the people, but do not give money to them.

It’s not our problem. Starvation and collapse, It’s the spoils of war.
They knew what we expected for normal relationship. They could have chosen this route long ago, instead they choose the old and easy path of societal stagnation and jihad. Change could have been a wonderful and prosperous evolution.
They should seek out help from China, Iran, and Pakistan. They helped them win the war, now let them help with the peace. Should these friends fail them, they should understand the betrayal was always part of their plan.
In the end, they will be impoverished, enslaved, and forgotten by those that ‘helped’ them.

“It’s not our problem. Starvation and collapse, It’s the spoils of war.”

To the victor go the spoils, and to the victor goes the problems of the spoils, it goes both ways.

In serious the Taliban know there are weak, naive people in the west and can play the sympathy card and win that way.

No, he gave them $83 billion in military equipment - which represents the lifetime income tax payments of approximately 146,000 US taxpayers.

That $83 billion was spread out over four administrations.

I don’t care if it was spread out over 20 administrations, it was $83 billion worth of US taxpayer hardware.
