This is one of the most encouraging articles I’ve read since the start of COVID. Perhaps we the people can prevail, and without most of us having been sent to jail, the hospital or what used to be called The Booby Hatch due to protesting government overreach.

Never give my kid a mask for school. Every one of them gets lost and I refuse to pay for a new mask every day.
The tactic was the school would give a mask to every kid that did not have one. I figured if every day the school would have to issue a mask to each child they would eventually complain to the school board and mandates would be removed.
It’s working, the school lets her in without a mask and they just don’t care any more. She does not wear a mask at school. State law says she de not, but some stupid federal judge ruled the law unconstitutional.
Very encouraged to see NYers doing this! They have been one of the most docile populations, much to my surprise.
I’m from NYC but moved to Florida (thank God!) about 20 years ago for job reasons.
I never ever thought NYers would accept the level of oppression under which they have been living. But they did it without a peep. I can’t the believe that NY is the same city I grew up in.
