Pfizer’s Chief Scientific Officer Mikael Dolsten told investors that the company expects pandemic levels of COVID-19 cases in some locations for the next year or two. During the same time span, other countries will become “endemic” with low caseloads.
The disease should be prevalent globally by 2024, the business predicts.
“When and how exactly this happens will depend on evolution of the disease, how effectively society deploys vaccines and treatments, and equitable distribution to places where vaccination rates are low,” Dolsten added. “The emergence of new variants could also impact how the pandemic continues to play out.”
Pfizer anticipates its COVID-19 vaccine, developed with BioNTech SE (22UAy.DE), to produce $31 billion in revenue next year. 4 billion shots expected next year.

As the omicron variant of the coronavirus is poised to become the new leading variant in the United States, many schools and businesses are closing their doors over what President Biden is predicting to be a winter of "severe illness and death."
President Biden has previously claimed he would "shut down the virus," and added he would not "shut down the economy" or "shut down the country." Biden is set to speak to the country on Tuesday to outline additional steps he will take to combat the spread of the virus.
Across the country, schools are beginning to shift to remote learning, restaurants are closing their doors to the public, and events are once again being canceled as a result of the new omicron variant of the coronavirus.
Several colleges and universities such as Harvard University and Stanford University have announced they will begin the spring 2022 semester with remote learning for most students. Pennsylvania State University announced on Friday that students should "be prepared to alter plans" if the university needs to start the spring semester remotely.
Georgetown University, for example, is restricting all indoor campus dining to a "grab-and-go" model, where students pick up their food in a dining hall and eat in their private room. The university is also closing fitness centers, and has canceled all events if they cannot be held outdoors or online.

Omicron will continue to replace delta at the speed of light and does not even descend into the lungs, causes a very mild illness. In spite of the hysterics displayed by UK and Amsterdam, this pandemic is on its last pegs, tottering toward death.
Poor Pfizer. No more cash for new boosters. Sob.
