The Biden administration is advocating for a "test-to-stay" policy in schools, aiming to reduce the number of absences and quarantines among students exposed to COVID-19.
The strategy, announced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday, will permit close contacts of those with confirmed COVID-19 to stay in classrooms if they test negative at least twice in the week after interacting with an infected person.
"If exposed children meet a certain criteria and continue to test negative, they can stay in school, instead of quarantining at home," CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said during a briefing.
The CDC cited two studies showing decreased absences in schools that implemented test-to-stay policies. Research involving 90 Lake County, Ill., schools predicted that the strategy eliminated more than 8,000 missed school days. In Los Angeles County schools, test-to-stay protocol prevented about 92,000 absences.
"These studies demonstrate that test-to-stay works to keep unvaccinated children in school safely," Walensky said.

If omicron is the milder variant, why don’t we just push through it? Many of us might be carrying the virus. But there’s no need to test every body.

Well, NevaDUH has done them one better. No shots for spring semester, no admittance to state colleges. Not sure if that’s the initial 2 shots “fully” or two plus however many boosters will be called for before the spring semester starts. Saw the electronic sign at UNR with an admonishment to “DON’T RELAX ‘TIL YOU PROVE YOU’VE BEEN VAXXED!” WTAF?! (Quickly followed by one that said” “THINK DIFFERENTLY? JOIN THE NEURODIVERSITY ALLIANCE!” Huh? Yeah, crazy town.)

COVID-19 is starting to turn into more of a money maker than a risk and for the bonus round mail-in-ballets for ever.
Antibodies fade over time. It's T-Cell memory that's most important and everyone who's had the CHINA VIRUS has the T-Cell memory so that the body knows how to fight off any future infections.
To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to test for T-Cell memory.
So if you've had the CHINA VIRUS, even if you don't test positive for antibodies a year later, your body remembers how to fight it, if you're exposed to it again.
OMG!! This really will go well with parents and students! I can just see the elementary school children not wanting to go to school anymore because plainly these test hurt. They won’t stop with the college they’ll continue all the way to elementary and high school as well. Effin insanity gone wild!

When I first saw the headline I thought it was referring to illegal immigrants. Foolish mistake. They have more rights than American kids.
Mail in ballots and drop boxes and those who have the fraud machines cranking while they have the voters hankered down to their homes! They have it packed down to a t! FEAR is a powerful thing and the rats know how they capitalize on it!
Sadly, there are just too many rule following, sniveling home room mom types who just blindly follow it all, like lemmings. Whatever they’re told to do, they do. They will allow their kids to be traumatized, their family life to suffer and go down the drain ....they do not care what they have to sacrifice ... they just prefer to live in fear and to cower down to every edict. I’m not sure anything can be done about these type of people.
There is nothing you can do for them. People are social animals and they’re terrified of being excluded from their tribe due to disobedience, even if their obedience to their tribe results in their social isolation anyways. Maybe they will find their spine if they see others ignoring edicts, but you have to assume that they won’t. May their chains fall upon them lightly.
For conservatives I think the imperative is to get the heck out of the deep blue areas and get around your own fellow travelers. And grab tour own liberty amongst others who will understand and support you.
So children MAY be “allowed” to stay in school if authorities say okay?
Will the others be pulled out by military flak vest wearing armed soldiers like 5 year old Elian Gonzalez in 1999 forcibly taken from home to go to Cuba?
