I don’t know if it’s frightening, because maybe it really is like a bad cold.
I don’t think it’s a good thing, as some say, which will produce herd immunity, because I don’t think we will get any more herd immunity from the novel coronavirus than we do from the seasonal flu.
I do think it’s fascinating, because of it’s amazing speed and the high level of mutations.
I don’t think we know what Omicron means, yet, but I do think it means something important.
Maybe it’s the mutations that proceed from Omicron that will have the most significance. Maybe they will all be highly transmissible and weak like a cold, thereby ending all things Covid, maybe not.
That’s a fact.

All of that suggests that in a world dominated by Omicron, the proportion of infected people who die could fall well below the 1% to 2% death rate that’s prevailed across much of the pandemic. Likewise, the surges in hospitalizations that have strained healthcare systems and exhausted medical professionals could be dampened.
If cases tended to be more mild and COVID-19 vaccines could still protect the most vulnerable people from dying, a kinder, gentler Omicron — even a highly contagious one — could be the break health officials and scientists have been waiting for.
Unless they have compromised immunity from previously getting the Jim Jones Jab.

Yup- that is the belief of many- including doctors who look at this from all angles. Omicron could end covid if they let it rip through the population- but they’ll never let that happen.
The 7 day moving average daily Covid deathcount is reading about 1150/day. This is obviously a combo of Omicron and Delta. It’s approximately aligned with Excess Deaths, though those are accurate only 3-4 weeks back and one must eyeball extrapolation of the graphs. The non averaged death graph is
largely flat now. It rose significantly during November.
Time of Omicron dominance is suggested to be early January. The definition of dominance last year was never specified. The phrasing suggested 90%, not 50%.
Important, dominance is not achieved in all states at the same time. NY is seeing a death uptick right now. And they are ahead of most states in becoming Omicron.
The math is pretty easy. If Omicron were 1/3 as deadly (and no one has proven this), but infects 6X more readily, vaxed or unvaxed, then there are going to be more deaths. More as in the graph will slope upwards. If it were 1/12th as deadly but infects 20X more readily, then there will be more deaths.
Next step in the Great Reset is to try to stamp out the common cold virus, of which there are about 200. Daily home booster shots are coming. The telescreen which the government will install in every home will make sure you do your duty and jab yourself every morning. If you resist, you’ll go to the camps, comrade!
The vast majority of the population will die after their immune systems are destroyed, but hey, we’ll get rid rid of the common cold once and for all!
I know this scenario is silly, but logically it’s the end point of this mass insanity. Pray for rational minds to get the upper hand before it’s too late.

Odds are that, with the spread of the virus and with people dying daily, some of the deceased will test positive for the infection.

You have a cold when you die with cancer results in dying with a cold designation.
Worshipping at the altar of “natural immunity” (somehow this makes sense to people vs a non-natural, artificial virus), is going to fail because Omicron penetrates all immunity.
It does so on day 1, and it will do so more readily every single day this ballyhooed natural immunity fades.

This talk of bronchial vs lung would seem to say only that death takes a few days longer. Once the bronchial cells are infected, their replicated virus particles then move downward into the lungs.

The original Covid 19 virus was highly optimized to affect humans, via S-protein optimal for human ACE-2 receptor AND proximity of the furin site. Mutations will, most likely, only destroy it’s ability to cause damage to human cells. That’s what we observe now with so-called “omicron” variant, whatever the hell it is...

LOL- so it would make sense that
1- if you get omicron you will develop natural immunity towards it
2- omicron is not very serious
