Americans face an uncertain and anxiety-filled holiday season for the second consecutive year, as the highly contagious Omicron variant threatens to intensify an already alarming surge of COVID-19 cases.

In Puerto Rico, the finale of the Miss World beauty pageant was called off on Thursday after several contestants tested positive.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top U.S. infectious disease expert, said on Thursday that the Omicron variant would soon dominate infections. “We’ve seen that in South Africa, we’re seeing it in the UK, and I’m absolutely certain that’s what we’re going to be seeing here relatively soon,” said Fauci, who met with President Joe Biden on Thursday afternoon to discuss the government’s response.

Like ww1, the forces of the vaxed and the unvaxed have dug into trenches. Those refusing to get poked have made up their minds, and most of the new cases have been poked.
I don’t want to hijack this thread with faith talk, but I just wanted to mention something we talked about this morning on my radio show. (I work in Christian radio.) We mentioned how people who don’t have hope always have two big fears: Fear of the future and the fear of death. Those two fears, unfortunately, guide all the decisions they make now. This leads to the non-stop fear reporting, lockdowns, mask mandates, etc., that we’ve seen over the last 20 months. When people are afraid they often make bad decisions. Now, with Biden trying to terrorize people with Onimcron, it’s starting again. Stand strong.
We mentioned how people who don’t have hope always have two big fears: Fear of the future and the fear of death. Those two fears, unfortunately, guide all the decisions they make now.
