Oswald was a communist and a Soviet sympathizer. I have no doubt he shot Kennedy. I also have no doubt he did it for the Soviets. The only question is whether he did it with the actual encouragement of the Soviets or because he thought it would impress them.
I think to impress them. He was viewed as a no value loser to them generally. I think this was him trying to restore his ego because of their rejection.
Either way, JFK was a victim of Communism. However, the liberal-Left establishment has successfully turned him into a martyr for civil rights and other liberal causes.
Well put. Anyone in Soviet intelligence and diplomatic service would have assumed Oswald was a provocateur leading them into a trap. Such assumptions were proved correct. The parallel question to yours is whether Oswald did that by being stupid and oblivious, or with the encouragement/connivance of the CIA, or through some other personal agenda.
