San Francisco will continue to allow fully vaccinated people to remove their masks in gyms and workplaces while its overall masking mandate remains in effect, the city Department of Public Health announced.

“It’s a recognition of all of the thought and care that San Francisco residents have been putting into staying as safe as possible,” said Dr. Susan Philip, San Francisco’s health officer.

About 86% of eligible San Francisco residents have received at least one vaccine dose, according to the public health department.

San Francisco businesses were relieved that the city can continue permitting fully vaccinated people to go maskless in some indoor locations.

Sadder words were never uttered.

It’s all arbitrary.

Just a high-stakes game of “Simon says.”

That utterly ridiculous sentence jumped out at me, too.

They are trying to save the 2021 Christmas shopping and dining-out season. That’s all this is. That “thought and care” sentence is pure BS.

“California joins other states with similar indoor mask mandates, including Washington, Oregon, Illinois, New Mexico, Nevada, Hawaii, and New York.”

Which is precisely why we just cancelled out vacation trip to Hawaii in March.

I had to put a mask on today for the first time in six months to get blood drawn at the hospital lab (Idaho). I’d completely forgotten how bad those things are. At least I kept it under my nose and nobody yelled at me.

Some animals are more equal than others. No doubt the French Laundry is exempt as well.

Yup.

If you’re good little commies and part of the gang, the rules don’t apply to you.

Greasy Gavin wouldn’t want to have to face angry KewlKids when he goes home for Big Weddings at City Hall.

I’m in a blue CA county nearby SF. My county’s vax rate is 75%, and over 90% in the city (and nearby cities) where I live. I’m going to write my idiotic county health director today, and the mayor, and ask that my city also receive the exemption SF got.

So, then it's NOT about health.

They've just invalidated their own illegal diktat. Not even the magic Wuhanic Plague stops outside the San Francisco city limits.

Here’s your cookie, you darling little fools. Now just keep obeying our every nonsensical, destructive, freedom-crushing edict, and maybe next Christmas, we’ll let you sing Christmas carols (as if any of these monsters would ever even say “Christmas”).

It's a recognition that they have to throw some crumbs to their loyalists to avoid a mutiny.

We are sick and tired
Of having to ask them cap in hand
We crawl on the floor
We beg for more
But still we are ignored
We’re tired of being herded
Like a mindless flock of sheep
And we’re tired of hearing promises
That we know they’ll never keep
