An aspiring model who recently moved from her native Thailand to pursue her dreams in the Big Apple said she is 'lucky to be alive' after a brutal beating in the subway by a deranged mugger last month.

Has she ‘overstayed’ her visa yet?
Its a clear sign our civilization is in decline that we accept this as normal.
I've lived in several Asian cities. If you are out late (or very early) its common to see businessmen in suits, after a night of drinking, sleeping on a park or subway bench, waiting for an early train. Or women strolling with friends. No one would think of beating and robbing them.
Reminds me, I have a friend of mine from Romania who I dated for a couple weeks in Belgium she lives in NYC working for a major company, but though she is female she been to rougher spots and can take care of herself. Still I wonder what the heck do people see in NYC, granted there is Money, I rather be in Bucharest then there.
Nope. Just another third world user here on a ‘student’ visa ‘studying something.’ yeah. Right. Ask me if I care...
Rite of initiation for gang members to beat an Asian. Sure a video of this incident appears somewhere on the dark web.
I think folks care, but can’t do much (Animals like the maggot that beat her don’t care, but decent folks do, and don’t want to see anyone attacked regardless of race)
In college, I went to stay in Dorchester Mass with a friend’s family during winter break, and got up in the morning and took a stroll. Took me 5 minutes to undo all the locks on the door. When I got back, the parents had a horrified look on their faces and asked me where I’d been. I told them and they gasped, and said “don’t ever go down that street again, especially alone!”
Being the naive country bumping I was, it just didn’t dawn on me that so emplacement could,be so da group that you take your life In Your hands just taking a walk in certain. Areas.
I guess my point is, I talked with the parents a d asked why they live like they do in that area, they explained to me tht they grew up,there, knew a lot of the old timers there, who were good hard working decent folks,, and despite the high crime, it was still a decent place if you knew where to go and where to avoid.
I guess ya gotta chip through the slag to get to the gold underneath In Some areas, but when 6ou do, you find some truly decent folks, even whenit seems there aren’t any
Maybe because it’s hard to garner sympathy when you’re here in the US on a student visa to study something trivial and you’re out at 4AM and get mugged after you go to a rapper concert. That city if FULL of those.....
Good guess but it was probably the Dutch. They go way back in Manhattan - nothing but trouble.
I rode it during the day in Dorchester and wow! It was nasty and enough of an eye opener for me to avoid it by night. Glad I don’t live in the cities znd have to work late shifts.
What they aren’t telling you is crime is up,1000% since deblabbio took office
Her attorney shared her story to ‘put pressure on the NYPD,’ ‘get more tips leading to an arrest’ and to ‘put more focus on this disturbing trend of violence’
What political party does the attorney affiliate him/herself with?
Who did that attorney vote for in any of the mayoral elections, if they’re a NYC resident?
New York City Crime Stoppers have released a short clip of the unidentified mugger jumping a subway turnstile before the attack, and are offering a reward of $3,500 for information that leads to his arrest
And another article that goes out of its way tonit mention the interracial aspects of the attack
Hey, leave the thug alone! Dude’s wearing his frigg’n mask!
Too bad the photo is not over the sights of an 870 just before the boom.
Too bad the photo is not over the sights of an 870 just before the boom.
Why do I get the feeling no one cares?
*************
I think its partly due to being de-sensitized by endless news about crime.
By the metric of not reporting much of the crime that is really happening.
That is not believable. By what metric?
