President Biden on Tuesday urged Congress to act on gun violence prevention in remarks commemorating the ninth anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
“As a nation, we owe all these families more than our prayers. We owe them action,” Biden said in a video message released by the White House.
He said the Senate needed to quickly pass three House-passed bills, one to extend background checks, another to keep guns out of the hands of abusers and his Build Back Better act that includes a $5 billion investment in community violence prevention and intervention.

I had no idea guns where violent. Thanks for telling me Diaper Brain. I always thought it was the person using the gun that was violent.

Maybe they could do Zoom lectures with all the guns and talk to them about not being violent.

Throw those guns in jail right next to those Jan 6 insurrectionists.

How about action to lock up the DemocRat violent repeat-felons that account for most of the violent crimes, whether guns are used or not?

Disarming the capital police would help a great deal in that endeavor.

Problem solved in 1968! But criminals still don’t obey laws!
“Today we begin to disarm the criminal and the careless and the insane. All of our people who are deeply concerned in this country about law and order should hail this day.”-— Lyndon Johnson signing the 1968 gun control act into law.

There are thousands of criminals on the street with current or pending convictions for gun charges where they were already convicted of a felony.
US Attorneys could simply vacuum these people off the street on Federal felon-in-possession charges and put them away for a long time.
Instead they do nothing but come after lawful gun owners.

The problem is that the new smart guns have figured out that humans are lying scum—and something needs to be done about it!

When a black person is holding the gun, it’s called “gun violence.” When a white person is holding the gun, it’s called “white rage” or “white supremacy” or “domestic terrorism.”

I agree we need gun control. We need to disarm the federal government. The people are authorized by god and codified in our Constitution with the right to keep and bare arms. The federal government is not.
The federal government has no second amendment rights. There is no part of the Constitution that allows for armed agents of the federal government outside of the military and it is their existence that is the threat to democracy, not the people.
Law enforcement and police power should lie exclusively with the states.
