Liz Cheney is going to New Hampshire. She's getting her political operation in order. And she's raising money like mad from icons of the Republican Party.
The Wyoming congresswoman is clearly exploring her political options and power well beyond her congressional district, even if she's not talking openly about a run for president.
"I've never had a conversation with her about 2024," said Eric Edelman, a former ambassador, Pentagon official and adviser to former Vice President Dick Cheney. "If there was going to be a Never Trump candidate, I can't think of anyone better."
Eight months after she voted to impeach Donald Trump, Cheney continues to be one of the party's most vocal critics of the former President and his hold on the Republican Party. The three-term House member has also said she would do "whatever it takes" to prevent Trump from becoming president again and has not closed the door on running for the White House herself.
Cheney's immediate political goal, however, is to retain her House seat from Harriet Hageman, a Trump-backed primary challenger. To help, she is marshaling the forces of the pre-Trump GOP establishment.
On October 18, former President George W. Bush will attend a fundraiser for Cheney in Dallas, co-hosted by former US Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison and top Bush campaign aides Karl Rove and Karen Hughes.
Former Republican House Speakers John Boehner and Paul Ryan also raised money for Cheney earlier this year. And on top of that, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Sens. Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney have all donated to Cheney through their respective political action committees.

Cubanadians are not natural born citizens.
The Constitution matters.
“maybe the GOP will finally wake up and realize that the establishment RINO BS will never sell with voters again.”
Oh no, haven’t you heard? We are all just a bunch of cultists following an Orange god. It’s not that his policies or movement are what attracted voters. No siree, it’s that we are are brainless cultists.
Thank God Liz Cheney, Mitch McConnell, Chris Christie and the rest are here to save us!!!
I think that this is a good black hole for all that Never-Trumper money to cycle past the event horizon and vanish forever.
All these RINOS are either long term or generational trough feeders. Corruption follows money, and these folks have been “the leading lights” of the GOP for decades. The rise of Trump and his awakening of masses of real Americans have them all in panic mode. Liz will be the sacrificial lamb at the alter of their corruption, but she herself is too corrupt to notice.
Cheney hates Trump because Trump is anti war..that is the MAIN reason, she hates anyone who is against her send troops to Iraq to die..she knows she has blood on her hands, her father knows he has blood on his hands , Bush knows he has blood on his hands but in their minds, war is good, sending young men and women to die is good..so that is the main reason why Cheney hates Trump so much..the minute he spoke out saying he is against the war in iraq that was it, she has been after him ever since
A fantastic candidate
In the democrat primary
We can forgive the Freudian slip. Her base is Washington. The Beltway establishment.
Now,Now...can’t go against group think about saint don...:)
I am TIRED of all the old people wanting to run. Give it a rest...retire and make way for a younger group of leaders to emerge.
When I hear about the January 6 Commission I think of the ugliest, meanist, sneakiest, bunch of BULLIES who ever got together and relentlessly went after... A TARGET, like in high school.
What kind of person JOINS A GROUP LIKE THAT?
John McCain won the nomination, despite the base being clearly opposed to him.
Mitt Romney won the GOP nomination, despite the base hating him with a passion.
The GOP nomination is always rigged against whoever the base wants. The guy over at “The Conservative Treehouse” was documenting the process the GOP uses to frustrate the base as early as 2014.
Trump was an outlier. They didn’t take him seriously, thus they didn’t take steps to stop him until it was too late. They won’t make that same mistake again.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking Liz Cheney couldn’t win the Republican nomination. It’s not just Liz running. It’s Liz Cheney & the GOP establishment vs the base.
“And she’s raising money like mad from icons of the Republican Party.”
And she’s raising money like mad from icons of the RINO Party.
There, fixed it
Like Rubio, Cruz, Jindal, Haley and George P. Bush?
ALL ineligible.
NONE of them natural born citizens, besides the fact that most of them are Bush League Republicans.
Liz is in Wyoming, not Washington
Which was who exactly when McCain and Romney won the nominations?
They didn't take him seriously, thus they didn't take steps to stop him until it was too late.
The RINO’s did everything they could to destroy Trump in the GOP primaries and got nowhere. President Trump is not easy to stop. Least of all by a bunch of RINO’s who regularly bend over for the Dems.
Plus Trump had more money than any of the RINO’s he was running against. Plus vastly more support with the base.
Don't fool yourself into thinking Liz Cheney couldn't win the Republican nomination.
If you think Liz Cheney can actually win the GOP presidential nomination against President Trump or DeSantis, you are going to need to get off the drugs. There is ZERO chance of that happening.
She is being funded by the same people who funded McMuffin.
Mormons and Romney.
And Jeb.
McCain, Romney and Trump all won the NH primary.
Liz Cheney has even less chance of winning in NH than Pence.
Pence is toast.
The nomination is Trump’s if he wants it.
DeSantis should be his VP.
Then after four years of Trump, 8 years of DeSantis.
Cruz goes to the supreme court.
Cheney goes to The View.
all the usual suspects... feh
