This is pretty effed-up if true. I guess some of the people left anyway.
I would have. Who wants to work for Obama’s like that anyway?

Agree, but I’m suspicious it actually happened. First off, getting employees is next to impossible right now. They were working late obviously trying to keep up with demand, so firing people would be counter productive.
Secondly, would it have been better to send 100+ people out to their cars with the storm bearing down on them? Doesn’t seem like a good idea either.
It’s a huge tragedy for sure. Praying for all of those affected.
Yep. When I was growing up in Kansas we took these warnings very seriously. I remember the great Topeka tornado. It looked like a giant had run a mile wide lawnmower through the city, flattening everything in that corridor. Horrendous destruction. Looked a lot like this town but in a bigger city.
Oh I don’t doubt it’s true…
Line managers have no real authority and a night shift I doubt anyone with real authority was around, so they refused to make any sort of call and just said keep working if he fired
Im just kinda sick...i need to go home,,,let me go or I will throw up on you
The courageous few who ignored their masters were rewarded. A good lesson.
The company has, of course, denied these claims. And without video evidence, I’m pretty sure they’re not true.
*Boss, tornado’s coming, can I go home?* *You’re fired if you do!*
In today’s age, that definitely turns into other employees asking, or same guy asking again, this time with multiple people recording it. Unless this video comes out, no way this actually happened. My guess is people were told it’s not safe to leave, so they don’t want people to leave. And that, of course, gets inflated. (And was wrong, but that’s irrelevant.)
