Derek Chauvin to change not guilty plea on charges of violating George Floyd's civil rights

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who was convicted of murdering George Floyd, plans to change his not guilty plea on federal charges that he violated Floyd's civil rights, according to a court notice.

A court filing in the U.S. District Court in Minnesota indicated Chauvin will appear at 9 a.m. Wednesday to enter a new plea. The notice did not say how he intends to change his plea. Chauvin's attorney, Eric Nelson, did not immediately return a request for comment. The U.S. Attorney's Office declined to comment.

Chauvin and three other former officers — Thomas Lane, J. Kueng and Tou Thao — were indicted in May for allegedly depriving Floyd of his rights while acting under government authority on May 25, 2020, as Floyd, 46, was held face-down, handcuffed and not resisting in a restraint that was captured on bystander video. They pleaded not guilty to the charges in September.

Chauvin, who knelt on Floyd’s neck for 9½ minutes, was convicted in April on state charges of second- and third-degree murder, as well as second-degree manslaughter. He was sentenced to 22 and a half years in prison in June.

Violated his civil right to resist the police? He was safely restrained in the back seat of a police car and demanded to be removed because he “couldn’t breathe “. That led to his having to be pinned down. Had he stayed in the car he’d be just as dead from the fatal overdose, but Chauvin would be free.

The drugs that Floyd OD’ed on killed Floyd.

Fentynl (sp?). From one article I read, he had 3x the lethal dose of that drug in his system. Plus, a plethora of other drugs (he was a walking pharmacy). I don't know how he stood on his feet at all. The Cop did not "murder" him, he committed unintentional suicide.

If only Chauvin had assassinated an unarmed protester at the Capitol on January 6th he would not only be free and unindicted, but still be employed. Be present while a Black thug career criminal with the China Flu O.D.’d ? He gets decades in prison.

There was ZERO chance that Chauvin received a fair trial in an atheist, communist enclave. The outcome was predetermined.

Minnesota's "Golden Rectangle" - the 55 mile by 70 mile rectangle that rigs all state-wide "elections" in Minnesota.

On a case where the guy OD’d, there is video of the drug baggie in his mouth, he said he took too many drugs as he was fighting the cops, the autopsy report shows the OD in his blood test, and the dude died of an OD nobody could have stopped.

And Chauvin only showed up for the last minute of the call for assistance, and the guy had just committed a crime he had to be arrested for.

And this isn’t race. People need to understand, a well-funded, hostile, organized intelligence/infiltration operation has infiltrated our leadership, and even our intelligence agencies, and it is taking this nation over just like the CIA would take over some banana republic in South America.

We are in really deep trouble we never get out of, it nobody can begin to see what is really going on. I’ve seen it with my own eyes, so that is not speculation. It is fact.

Exactly right, and I am beyond angry that the guy’s life is being ruined.

Yes, Geo Floyd’s life was ruined by a cop with an attitude. One of many cops who can never do wrong. Like my sister. She is the law, knows everything and NEVER makes a mistake. Ask Kim Potter, who used her gun to taze a criminal.
