Over 3,500 migrants are transported from Polish-Belarusian border to Iraq

The Iraqi government has transported more than 3,500 migrants from the Polish-Belarusian border, Iraqi Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said on Sunday.

"Up to present, the ministry managed to organize nine evacuation flights from Minsk," the Iraqi News Agency (INA) cites Ahmed Al-Sahaf. He added that 3,556 migrants stranded on the Polish-Belarusian border returned to their homeland.

The spokesman noted that "up to now, 383 passports have been issued to migrants who lost their documents in Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland."

"The Iraqi embassies in Moscow and Warsaw continue to support Iraqi citizens who stranded on the border and decided to voluntarily return to their homeland." He also pointed out that special diplomatic delegations of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry have been working in Minsk, as well as in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.

The migration crisis on Belarus’ borders with Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, where migrants began to flock to since the beginning of this year, went into high gear on November 8. Several thousand people, among them are migrants from the Middle East and Africa, approached the Polish border on the Belarusian side and tried to cross into Poland. In an attempt to storm the border, they broke a barbed wire fence.

The UK is readying to deploy additional troops to Poland and Lithuania as the migrant crisis along their shared border with Belarus continues. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced that 140 military engineers will be sent to Poland, adding that a separate team has also been sent to Lithuania. In a statement, the MoD said: "Poland and Lithuania, along with their Baltic neighbour Latvia, have been under significant pressure from migration originating from Belarus and facilitated by the Lukashenko regime for a number of months."

So much respect for the Poles. Plus they are exempt after what they went through in the 20th century.

ummm, what did they go through in the 20th century?

They went through and pillaged the property of their 3 million Jewish citizens whom they allowed to be shipped off to the concentration camps (which were mainly located in Poland for a reason)

of course there were many Poles who did try and fight back but overall the Polish response to the slaughter of 20% of their population was beyond pathetic—then again, what else do expect from a country who practically dropped their weapons at the sight of the Germans.

Europe today is reaping the rewards of the destruction of their 2000 year old Jewish community

It’s funny how if you look at a map of terrorist events in Europe, there are basically none in Poland.

Jaysin whom they allowed to be shipped off to the concentration camps

"They allowed" --> you mean the murderous Nazi Germans who wanted to wipe Poland off the map gave people a choice?

which were mainly located in Poland for a reason -- mainly located because that's where most of Europe's Jews lived. Ever thought to wonder WHY most of Europe's Jews lived in Polin? The answer is - because they were invited and until the Russian-Prussian-Austrian partitions, they were treated as equals

overall the Polish response to the slaughter of 20% of their population was beyond pathetic --> beyond pathetic? Poland, country reunited after 123 years of disunity had to -- you think another scenario was possible?

In the event(**), Poland was attacked from three sides - North, West and South. The fact that her forces were too close to the German border meant that the German offensive was an encirclement battle from the start.

then again, what else do expect from a country who practically dropped their weapons at the sight of the Germans.

huh?

On 1 September 1939, without a formal declaration of war, Nazi Germany invaded Poland using the pretext of the Gleiwitz incident, the technically, logistically and numerically superior German forces rapidly advanced into the Polish territory

Have you even read any history?

People who don’t know history will believe anything they are told. That’s why the Left stopped teaching history and went to “social studies.”

Exactly. I think the vilification of Poland began as a way of deflecting attention from Germany - the western part of which was our ally, while all of Poland was given to Stalin.

This is not to blame modern-day Germans for the atrocities committed by their grand or great-grand parents, but we must assign blame correctly and learn from it.

What Putin propaganda? Do you suggest that the thousands of Middle Eastern immigrants aren’t coming to the UK from France? The subject of the tread is illegal migration from what I see.
To suggest that the UK government needs to be concerned about it is reasonable.
Instead, they are making an issue of a hundred migrants in Poland, ignoring their own border...
Where is the logic?

Good for Poland. They are one of our few true friends.

Can we do that?

"What Putin propaganda" -- I mean yours

The ME migrants - not "immigrants" -- only liberals and Russian propaganda talking points call them immigrants, and even the liberals stopped calling them immigrants

The ME migrants in Belarus were invited by Sasha and were aided by Bialorussian troops. This was with Vlad's backing of Sasha.
