RIP.
Most hispanics know who he is. Rest In Peace, Vicente
Fernandez. He lives on through his son who is also
a singer.
I’m black, not hispanic, but I try to listen to most any type of music at least once. I enjoy a couple of Spanish singers,
most for adult type singing.
Vincente Fernandes was a fantastic entertainer. He knew how to incorporate the rowdy yell and grito (scream!) the Beer Happy laugh and the Tearstained rueful laugh into his songs.
His band of musicians fit him like a glove.
There aren’t many more like him at that professional level.
Most the music was fun to listen to unless it was meant to be melancholy. My two other Latin favorites are probably
Jose Jose and Luis Miguel. Luis Miguel and JLO were a hot item for a few short weeks long time ago.
One of my late father’s favorites and part of the soundtrack of my childhood growing up in Southern California. Rest In Peace, Vicente.

RIP Vicente, thank you for sharing your talent with the world. As a little girl traveling to Mexico City with my family by car, your music would come on the radio. Can’t believe you supported Cankles in 2016.
Gracias Vicente.
Racial bias against ethnic music is low IQ idiocy. Take Mexican music for example. It is all influenced by styles from old world Spain and Germany. Just as Country and Western is influenced by Irish and German styles.
Love to put on some Mariachi, Flamenco, or Salsa now and then to change the pace and prevent boredom.
He was phenomenal. Also, in true Ranchero style, he wore a gun on stage.
RIP.
