I heard it had some pretty unreasonable questions on it, like whats your name and whats your address, pretty sure they deducted points for misspelling either.
FAFSA forms are nightmare. It’s the government, they can’t make forms easy.
Oh, they could make them easy, but then where’s the fun in that? If it’s difficult, then it must be important, and the bureaucrat overseeing the form must be a Very Special Important Person.
Did these forms for five eight years. Hated. Every. Minute.

All it take is ONE KID with decent/good grades unwilling to fill out the form and things would interesting in the courts.
