Twenty chief executive officers (CEOs) of leading retailers are calling on Congress to pass legislation to curb the sale of stolen goods online in the wake of “organized retail crime” across the United States.
The Retail Industry Leaders Association sent a letter to Congressional leadership on Thursday, which was signed by CEOs of Home Depot, Target, Best Buy, Nordstrom, and executives of many more retail titans.

From Silicon Valley to Wall Street, companies proclaimed “Black lives matter.” JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon adopted the posture of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s protests against police brutality and took a knee with bank employees. McDonald’s declared Floyd and other slain Black Americans “one of us.”

If they won’t do what it takes to stop the looting, why would they expect anyone else to do what it takes to prevent the trafficking of those looted goods?
You and I both know that if stores start hiring bikers for security, the Feds will suddenly get off of their sorry asses and arrest them. Or worse.
The proposed law is silly. This will accomplish absolutely nothing other than drive small, legitimate sellers offline. Oh and grow the dark web.

You know there might be an easier way to curb these thefts. Maybe support the people who support law and order. When the new American role models start hijacking Fed Ex and USPS trucks we can listen to Bezos squeal too.
They should go on ebay and buy their stuff back cheaper than they can get if from the OEM’s.
