In the last seven days? Depending on the country, the pairing of high vaccination rates with high cases of Covid infection has been going on for weeks, even months in some cases.

I dunno why they’re surprised here. They already KNEW last summer that the vaccinated were still catching it AND transmitting it which was why they asked people to start masking up again.
The reason the whole charade is still ongoing is that they were clinging to the belief that people who got the vaxx don’t end up in the hospital and this study puts kibash on THAT.
I know more people who are sick with it NOW (and some dying from it) than last year when we didn’t have a vaxx at all!
My parents’ next door neighbor just died from it. They were chatting with a friend and the conversation went like:
“My neighbor died of it last week.”
“Was he vaccinated?”
“Yeah he had had both shots.”
“Had he gotten the booster?”
“Nope.”
“Ah well... there ya go.”

The local rag newspaper has their new marching orders. “The kung flu vaccines stop the spread and protect the vaccinated” has been memory holed and the editor said “I NEVER said vaccines stop the spread blah blah blah.”
The new talking point is;
“The vaccine protects the vaccinated from sever symptoms.”
Whether you believe in the vaccines or not, it is clear that people accepted what they were told as absolute scientific fact when it was far from scientific. Even when the officials were flip flopping and changing the rules and contradicting themselves.
Worst of all, we rushed the qualification process of a new technology. Not good. And one of the spokespersons for the vaccine is Bill Gates who is notorious for pre-releasing his Windows Operating System before it had been proven. Just look up Blue Screen of Death on Goggle also Windows virus vulnerabilities. His management style was to release a product before it was thoroughly tested and let the public be the final testers.
Maybe it’s in how many amplification cycles are permitted before someone is considered to have a case of COVID-19. The PCR test can give a huge number of false positives if more than 24 to 28 cycles are permitted. In USA sometimes numbers in the 40 were allowed.
