Why wasn’t Israel part of the U.S. coalition going into Iraq?
Because we asked them to stay out of it so arab nations would join in.
They were not invited because the Saudi’s would not tolerate it. In fact, the Saudi’s insisted that they not be involved in any way. However, I understand that they were massively involved from an intelligence standpoint, but covertly.

Because Bush asked them not to be part of it.
Because Daddy Bush told them to stay out of it. He did not expect the Arab nations would endorse the Jews going into an Arab country and kicking big @$$. Thus, Israel stayed out, even when Iraqi rockets were falling on their country.
