London is set to ban all e-scooters from its public transport network due to safety concerns.
According to The Guardian, the ban comes following multiple incidents in which e-scooters combusted. It will be applied to all e-scooters, including privately owned vehicles and e-unicycles, even when they are folded or carried.
Transport for London, the government body overseeing most of the city's public transport network, said that those who have privately owned scooters will also be banned from traveling with the vehicles on any of its buses, trams or the tube, per The Guardian. It also stated that e-scooters will not be permitted on any of its property.
Users who fail to comply with the ban could be fined up to 1,000 pounds.

Haven’t some e-cars combusted too?
Ping.
Good! I have an idea, WALK! You might lose some weight in the process.
I've used them, but in a big city they are not safe. Haven't heard of combustion.
e-unicycle?
It is a good idea to leave e-scooters and the like outside at night 50 feet your Chevy Volt which should also be at least 50 feet from any combustible structure, vehicle, or trees, dry grass, etc., etc... The greenies have found the solution to all of our problems.
Watching British television, I noticed that Brit chicks are catching up with American girls when it comes to plumpness.
Not enough kickback money to london politicians
They otherwise eat up “green transit” ideas especially those ideas that make people look idiotic
Anecdotally, I’ve noticed that women in general have been getting fatter lately (men may be also, though I don’t notice them that much). I am guessing it has to do with COVID which has caused people to become less active and eat less healthy, including stress eating.
Another facet of high-density Lithium-Ion batteries. We saw it in the Boeing 787, we see it in electric vehicles (EV) burning almost beyond extinguishing! Frankly, I expect the same ban on e-bikes for the same danger.
Burning calories, rather than chinese junk, is furthermore better for the environment.

Teslas, Volts, Leafs, Bolts, Jags, Audis, Porsches, KIAs etc and others have caught fire; fortunately most of the people got out.
Driving anything less than a car on roads today is unsafe.
