Hochul warned new policies could be implemented in response to the uptick in cases and hospitalization, CBS2’s Jenna DeAngelis reported.
The governor did not specify her plans. But a big question is whether the state will implement policies like showing vaccination status before entering restaurants, which is already in effect the city.

CNY "witnessing a collapse of the healthcare system" - Efforts to help Syracuse hospitals
But you'll have to read between the lines to figure out why there's a shortage of beds, staff, and why non-emergent patients are using the ER for primary care...
This is a man-caused disaster.

You cannot legislate away a disease. Good excuse though for tyrants.

My oldest daughter works at one of those hospitals. She has lots of stories about the impacts of the mandate and they aren’t pretty.
Omicron could be the end of it.
A mIld variant , endemic, infecting nearly everyone and creating true berd immunity.
Ding dong the witch is dead
I’m still wondering about nosocomial spread of the coof in hospitals.
Welfare deadbeats call 911 for a sore throat and get a free taxpayer funded ambulance ride to the ER instead of going to their primary care doctor.
It’s been happening for decades.
It’s not just that.
Not this time.
I can vouch for that in my neck of the woods.
A lot of the people using ERs now are people who can’t now get in to see their primary care provider in a timely fashion. Can’t even use walk-in care because the lines are horrific.
Your doc doesn’t have to see you.
If you show up at an ER, they do.
It’s that simple.
Commie pig.
The priceless part of this situation is that having the Omicron variant predominate & spread widely is the best thing that could happen. This variant has caused no deaths, spreads easily and has mild symptoms with a shortened course of infection. Herd immunity beckons...who stand in it’s way...yet again..the LEFT.
It was that way for decades in Oswego County, welfare capitol of NY.
Yes, I can believe that the dems have screwed things up so bad that people are doing that.
Even here in NH, it’s a couple weeks to see a medical professional for something not very urgent.
Fortunately, we know of an excellent little hospital in a small remote town that we could go to if necessary, for emergencies, and I doubt they are ever very busy. They are just too remote and there’s a much bigger one close enough by them that people would be going there. But it’s closer to us than the big one, so go there and if necessary get stabilized and transported.
Well, where I live Upstate wait times have never been that bad. Even at walk-ins.
Until now.
If the Omicron variant doesn’t kill anyone, and if it gives immunity to other Covid variants, don’t we WANT it to spread rapidly?
Have these experts never heard of cow pox and Jenner?
