The United States loses any 2 on 1 fight with Russia and China. They are not afraid of a nuclear exchange and have the superior nuclear weaponry. Their strategic planning for decades have been premised on the idea of killing millions of people and not giving a damn when millions of their own die.
If NATO falls, we get nailed by a surprise nuclear strike and will be lucky if Russia and China experience any damage in retaliation.
Europe without NATO or the USA will be trampled upon shortly thereafter.

Try, like, within one month, with Russian and Chinese military satellites going up at the same time, joint Russian and Chinese naval exercises threatening Japan just within the past 30 days, and anti-Japanese missile defenses being put up by the Russians on a disputed Island a short distance from Japan, all as Japan is declaring its determination to fight China on Taiwan.
Let the EU sort this crap out. Trump made the point that we bankrolled NATO financially and personnel wise. Point is EU has no defense, because we’ve bent over and did it for free.
