If they would propose a bill and pass it through state or federal legislatures, that would at least be honest and consistent with the democratic elements that add up to a Republic. Having jurors “interpret” the Constitution to mean something entirely implausible, but which fits one faction or another’s political agenda and using the weight of the thus-mangled Constitution to bypass the legislative process, is another thing entirely.
