We conservatives tried that last time with Matt Bevin but failed. Bevin was then elected governor, but he made the "mistake" of trying to fix Kentucky's pension system, which ranks near the bottom of the 50 states. The teachers didn't want the system fixed and so now we have Comrade Beshear.
Strom Thurmond was in the Senate ‘til age 100. Mitch is old, too, but if he’s been vaxed three times, how come he’s not dead like the anti-vaxxers say he’d be. How come I’m not, for that matter. But I digress. You can’t primary senior muckety-mucks, except with Soros money. So, at least he’s old.
