SINGAPORE - From Wednesday (Dec 8), those who are unvaccinated "by choice" against Covid-19 and become infected will have to pay for their own treatment. We answer some questions you may have on this topic. Q: Does the rule apply to those who are already hospitalised before Dec 8?
A: This will apply to all unvaccinated Covid-19 patients admitted on or after Dec 8, 2021, to hospitals and Covid-19 treatment facilities. The Covid-19 medical bills for those who are ineligible for vaccination, such as children under 12 years old or those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, will still be fully paid for by the Government. Q: I have received one dose of the vaccine. Do I have to pay for treatment if I am hospitalised for Covid-19 before the second dose?
A: No. The authorities have said those who are partially vaccinated will not be charged until Dec 31 to allow them time to be fully vaccinated.

Mandates are wrong. On many levels.
It’s not like it’s Smallpox or polio. Or even the childhood diseases which did kill many more than are affected by vaccine side effects.

How do you feel about those of us who have been vaccinated, yet feel it is your right to not be vaccinated and abhor the fools who want to force people to be vaccinated at the point of a gun? The same with PPE. It is your right to wear a mask just as it should be everyone's right not to.

Please learn how vaccines work. No vaccine ever builds a filter in your nose to stop inhaling virus material.
ONLY function of vaccine is to create additional anti-bodies for a particular virus. If you inhale virus material, you will get infected vaccinated or not. But after you are infected, the additional anti-bodies will help kill the virus before it makes you seriously sick.
My husband got jabbed and has been experiencing exacerbations from his MS - which was under control before vaccine. Also experiencing big blood pressure which was not an issue before vaccine. I am not vaccinated because I had COVId last November (2020) and my doctor said he would never recommend vaccine to someone who has had the disease. The issue isn’t whether or not you choose the get the vaccine. The issue is that as free Americans with diverse health backgrounds and issues and risk tolerances, should have the freedom to decide whether or not we take a medication. I’m happy that it’s worked out for you - glad you had the opportunity to make that choice. I should not be penalized for not getting the vaccine. Nor should my husband for deciding not to get booster because of adverse reactions to first two shots. Yet our government is leading the charge to marginalize people who have made choices based on their personal health situations.
