Why The Red Wave Could Become A Red Puddle
American Thinker.com ^ | December 8, 2021 | Sidnee, Pearl Michaels

Rep. Kevin McCarthy is measuring drapes for the speaker’s office, expecting to move in after the 2022 election. Hey Kev, leadership is keeping your caucus together so as not to hand Democrats big wins (i.e., the $1.2 trillion non-infrastructure bill). Leadership also is not voting with Democrats on bills that invade Americans’ medical privacy (i.e., the Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act).

McCarthy exemplifies the big divide between the “America First” MAGA base and Establishment Republicans. This is why an expected Red Wave has the potential to turn into a Red Puddle.

The latest and most problematic divide between the MAGA base and the establishment is how Republican organizations and elected officials are going head over heels (pun intended) for transgenders. What better way to turn a potentially historic 2022 red wave into a puddle than having millions of fed-up Republicans sit home on election day (or week or month)?

Less than four short years ago, Republic National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel sided with President Donald Trump on his order to bar transgender individuals from serving in the U.S. military. The RNC even passed a resolution at its February 2018 winter meeting referring to transgenders as having a “disqualifying psychological and physical” condition.

Now the same RNC chairwoman welcomes those same people with “disqualifying psychological and physical” conditions to join the Republican party. In November, the organization announced it was starting a Pride Coalition in partnership with the Log Cabin Republicans.

How about the RNC putting the same effort into investigating and litigating the 2020 presidential election fraud or the dangerous January 6 witch hunt? MAGAs demand answers before the next election! Nah, the RNC is too busy building its Pride Coalition.

How could that happen? Mail in balloting is how it could happen. Anytime you have universal mail in balloting you have a Rat “victory”.

The Log Cabin Republicans were hosted at Mar-a-lago last month! Trump and Melanie were there!

I don’t think it’s any of our business what other people are doing. It only becomes our business when they try to force it down the nation’s throat as is happening today. I agree with the main premise of the article though. Republican voters are watching. They are watching republicans help democrats pass their agenda in Washington. That is sure to suppress republican turnout. Some republicans want to stand back, disengage, and hope the government fails and leaves the door open to a restoration of a free America.

The GOP should keep in mind.......Bidung is not there to govern or to guard American values and our global status.

He’s there for one reason.....to facilitate deals for the Biden Crime Family by selling our safety and security to the highest bidder.

There are a lot of conservatives like me. I held my nose and voted autopilot GOP for 50 years. No more for me. The Republican traitors and crooks in DC (95% of them) are just as responsible for the coup as are the democrats. Look around. This is the result of relying on DC Republicans to protect the Constitution. My POS, CCP stooge senator, McConnell could never get re-elected. I only wish I had an opportunity to not vote for him.

Beware, this article is political bait and switch.

I hold no brief for McCarthy but when an author undertakes to tell us that, "McCarthy exemplifies the big divide between the “America First” MAGA base and Establishment Republicans. This is why an expected Red Wave has the potential to turn into a Red Puddle", he has a duty to his reader to prove it.

Instead the author launches into a diatribe against the Republican National Committee and against transgenders. Again, I hold no brief for the Republican National Committee nor for the transgender movement but what has this got to do with McCarthy? And more importantly what the hell does this have to do with the upcoming 2022 election?

McCarthy might be accused of succumbing to the temptation of all sports teams or athletes who hold a commanding lead which is to play defense and lose momentum and ultimately the game. So it is understandable that McCarthy would preach a more centrist approach to capture (or hold) independents knowing that conservatives have no place else to go in the wake of the Biden/Pelosi carnage. So he plays "safe."

The author does not undertake to prove his case. And if he did to do so by aiming at McCarthy instead of McConnell, I would suggest his aim is wide of the mark. It is McConnell who is in the process of extending the debt, waving the filibuster, saving Biden and the Democrats and exposing the Republican party to an actual schism. Many would say that McConnell, by accommodating and appeasing the Democrats, is pulling their teeth and denying them an issue, government shutdown, with which to save their electoral chances. That at least is an argument although one I do not find to be persuasive.

The next election will turn on the economy primarily and perhaps on crime and, thirdly, Ukraine and Afghanistan-it most assuredly will not turn on the fate of the transgender movement.

I don't like it when the author keeps a hole card up his sleeve and seeks to mislead the reader with a false proposition about his true purpose. If he wants to marshal Republicans to fight transgenderism let him directly persuade us.

It’s not just voter fraud. The GOP ran on “elect us to stop the Democrats from getting rid of the filibuster”. Now China Mitch is busy engineering a debt deal that removes the filibuster. That sure looks like electoral “fraud” to me.

With Republicans like the GOP Senate who needs Democrats? Why vote for Republicans when they collude with Marxist Democrats and betray their voters anyway?

I refuse to accept mental disability as a lifestyle. That is the realm of evil. It is the inhumanity of the left that has enabled many to openly nurture the suffering of those afflicted with maladies so painful and torturous that self mutilation seems like a good idea. This is the stuff of horror stories and those who enable it are on equal par with those nightmares. They are anathema and should be treated as such.

In Oct. 2020 Melania proudly gave a speech and announced that Trump was the first president to enter the office supporting gay marriage. Not hard to believe that support for the mentally ill trans world would come next.

We need candidates who don’t think they know more than God while conning us with their proclamations about faith in God.

What I perceive is McCarthy is a feckless GOP leader, he is not into MAGA. I do need to read an “article” to convince me.

The LCR does not support transgenderism and in fact denounced the Equity Act as transgender theology which resulted in a lot of backlash from the LGBT community.

McCarthy is not presented as the one and only source of the problem, rather the up front mention of McCarthy is pointing out that GOPe antics could derail McCarthy’s quest for the speaker’s office.

It’s not about McCarthy specifically, just the GOPe spending the next year demonstrating to voters that they aren’t really any different than the Democrats.
