Unfortunately, 53% is too small to guarantee anything in King County (Seattle).
They count ballots for weeks around here.
If Sawant is still losing, they will start counting provisional ballots next.
Provisional ballots are cast by thousands of people on election day who have no ID, no proof of residence, or no proof of eligibility.
Unsurprisingly, they vote 95% Marxist, and usually just enough of them vote to shift the election to the Politically Left candidate by a couple hundred votes.
I am still pretty sure that Rossi won, but he had no willingness to fight the King County machine so they kept finding votes until he surrendered.
Yeah.
Votes will magically appear.
I think that was also the first election where all WA voters were eligible for mail-in ballots.
I am still stunned by the outcome of the Rossi election, almost two decades after the fact.
And now, USA Conservatives will have to think about Trump and 2020 for another couple decades.
If Sawant wins 100% of remaining vote: 56% total (stays)
If Sawant wins 75% of remaining vote: 52% total (stays)
If Sawant wins 67% of remaining vote: 50.3% total (stays)
If Sawant wins 50% of remaining vote: 47% total (ousted)
This is a tall order given that she received 47% of the votes counted as of tonight. But vote count swings in Seattle are no joke.
