The new round of cheese is aimed at union shops. Ford, GM and the others had access to the subsidies and the only mass market who tried besides Tesla was Nissan with its low-end Leaf.
If the subsidies are there, the companies are obliged to take them.
I'm not saying Musk is a good guy, but I am not going to go after him when he is ready to wean off the government dole.
