Hello there, Theophilous Meatyard III...thanks for sharing your story.

Was your Mom in the military? How hard it must have been to believe that the other side of the island was actually under attack.

Warning; if you are a snowflake, this will definitely trigger you!

Howdy, Kathy.

The storms blew through early this morning and I slept through them. LOL
Not too crazy here but Tullahoma - a hop-skip-and-jump from us - got hit by a tornado. There were a few other tornado warnings NW of Nashville overnight as well. We were lucky here.

Now it’s just cold.

Wow, a heat wave up there! LOL How long has it been since you were above freezing? Seems like ages. It’s spitting a little snow at the airport tonight and there’s a large area of snow showing on the radar. Depending on how much above freezing it is, you could get a dose. It’s snowed here many times when just above freezing though it usually didn’t stick very long because the ground was too warm. Your ground is frozen. BRRRRRRR
There’s time for the plow guys to show up before Thursday. :-)

I played "Remember Pearl Harbor" in post #46. Now, it's time to flip it over. If the A side triggers the snowflakes, this side will make them drop their cookies into their striped pants. The very title is triggering, so click on the hyperlink.

Thanks, doorgunner69, for sharing your adventures there at Pearl Harbor. Must be a lot of “memories” of what took place there as you look around the area, knowing what happened.

My late Uncle Bill was there. He was an Army Air Corp mechanic stationed at Hickham Field with hopes of becoming a pilot.

He was wounded in the attack though, had his knee shot out and that ended hopes of getting pilots wings. He recovered from his wounds and ended up as a combat engineer in the General Patton’s Third Army.

He was wounded again during The Battle of The Bulge but he made it home.
