Lawyer for dying COVID patient who recovered after court-ordered Ivermectin urges new thinking

An Illinois lawyer who helped a dying COVID patient win court-ordered treatment with ivermectin and survive says the episode reveals a deep need for American health professions to rethink their approach to a pandemic that has persisted nearly two full years.

"There are obviously remedies that we're not looking at," attorney Kristin Erickson told Just the News. "And we need to think outside of the current standard of care that hospitals are giving. And if it's not working, let's look at outcomes and not finances."

Erickson represented 71-year-old Sun Ng of Naperville, Ill., who was on a ventilator for weeks and dying with COVID-19 when his lawyer won a court order Nov. 8 to force the hospital to treat him with ivermectin, an anti-parasitic and anti-inflammatory drug long used widely in the United States to treat disease like Lupus.

Within days. Ng recovered and is now back home walking and enjoying life, Erickson said.

"After one day, he was able to do a breathing test he couldn't do for 22 days," she said in an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "After three days, he was off the vent for two hours. And then by the fifth day, he was off it entirely. So the hospital tried to file for, you know, a physician report, after he was off the vent, saying that ivermectin is not the reason he's better. But clearly it is."

There are numerous studies — Erickson said she located 66 studies globally — that show ivermectin is effective in fighting and warding off the virus, and it is used in places like India and Bangladesh but not in the United States. Even the National Institutes of Health's Web site recently showcased one such study conducted by foreign researchers.

"I think the fact that it is so cheap, you know, and not money-making, could be the reason that we don't use, we don't want to back it," Erickson said. "We don't want the studies here in the United States."

Erickson said the phones at her office and the New York group that assisted Ng have been ringing off the hook and the courts are likely to be inundated for similar interventions for other patients after what happened in the Ng case.

"I don't know what people's motivations are," she said. "Certainly ours here is to help people get what they need. I know there's a lot of good-hearted people out there who want to save people, even in the hospital setting. Physicians and nurses, they want to do the right thing. But if hospitals aren't allowing it, that creates a barrier for people who are hospitalized."

I praise the Lord for the miracle drug Ivermectin. I have family members and friends who have completely recovered from Covid after taking it, even the horse paste stuff. It works.

That was followed by viciously attacking anyone that mentioned a non-vax treatment.

60 cents of Ivermectin in India is about $100 in the US, if you buy it from India. If you get it from one of the select US pharmacies it’s the same price, you just add $75 for the prescriber.

Or you can get a death shot for free (deferred payment to grand kids)

Prescribers don’t get immunity from civil and criminal liability unless they prescribe from the list of covered countermeasures.

Guess what ain’t on it.

This man was TREATED. Which was great.

Many talk about PREVENTION.

First and foremost, we have to stop acting like this is the worst disease ever.

The hysteria around COVID-19 with the SARS2 is completely unfounded. The PREMISE must be challenged everywhere. This disease does NOT deserve the hype/tyranny.

Second, as a result, don’t worry about stuffing yourself with “prevention”. So many here are big on “not putting anything in the body it doesn’t need” - so why now?

Think how many “cases” there were that were NEVER REPORTED or RECORDED - because they were asymptomatic or the disease was no big deal.

That brings the death rate (CFR) down greatly. It’s already below 2% (not nearly as bad as cousin SARS1 at 10%+).

Why use up supplies or treat your body for something it doesn’t need?

Save it for the real issue. IF there is an issue.

As a survivor last year, I KNOW it’s surviveable (I also had my very obese MIL die of it Jan 6). I never did any special “protocols” and certainly there was no vaccine. Yet 5 of us all had it in Dec with no problem (including elderly frail mom), and 2 of us got the test done. The other 3 - never counted?!? I have more stories, too.

Last week I had a runny nose for about 5 days. Took Benadryl and it was under control. No fever, no headaches, but then I take aspirin every day with my BP meds and multivitamins. Was it CoVid? I'll never know.....................

Why didn’t the hospital want to allow use of ivermectin or HCQ?

BECAUSE the emergency COVID legislation confers malpractice immunity to medical professionals. But ONLY if they stick with federal approved treatments.

You might be able to - get a test in a month for antibodies.

If you’re too late to test for sure (3 mos possible limit), try a T-cell test.

BTW, do it - then you can shut up any of the Chicken Littles - in medicine as well as general petty tyrants.

(My hubby and son got tested later - yes, duh, they had had COVID.)

Yup. Ultimately alot of this is government telling docs what to do. And docs doing it.

I doubt it’s as much about “more money” as many think. There’s lots to be made when something is cheap and people will buy it for prevention (though it’s really not worth it).

I think the antibodies are pretty good.

The worst tests in this whole mess seem to be the “quickie” “current” tests.

And does it really matter then? Not a whole lot, but you can use it as a factoid. Honestly sometimes it’s a bad thing - oncology kicked me out because I “had COVID too recently” - jackasses. Doctors have become completely incompassionate regarding this nonsense (happened more recently with my mom, too), whether you have the disease or not.
