John Schneider is sharing his thoughts on Alec Baldwin’s “Rust” movie set shooting.
On Oct. 21, Baldwin was rehearsing a scene on the New Mexico set of his planned film “Rust” when a gun he was holding discharged. A projectile from the weapon fatally struck cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
An investigation into the incident has been underway for a month now, and Baldwin spoke out Thursday night, claiming during a tell-all interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News that despite holding the gun, he “didn’t pull the trigger.”
Ahead of Baldwin’s interview, a preview was released, which featured Baldwin’s comments, and Schneider, 61, shared his thoughts on the matter in an 18-minute video titled “Seriously Alec?“
Schneider claimed the interview was “all designed to make us feel sorry for Alec Baldwin” and claimed the actor’s teary-eyed emotional responses during the interview were “bulls–t.”

Bo Duke has spoken. End of story.
I’d be more interested in what Daisy thinks.
I think you mean you’d be more interested in seeing what Daisy says. Having the Hollywood types fight among each other is about the best one can hope for from them.
Time has not been kind to her.
If you listened to the Stephanopolous drama production carefully, without the mood music, you will hear Baldwin explain he pulled back the hammer and let it go.
If he didn’t pull it back enough to engage the trigger, it was the same as pulling the trigger.
Cheeseburgers, beer, and menopause don’t help women age well…
See: Alec Baldwin
I can’t recall every seeing such a collection of passive verbs! LOL.
I love John Schneider.
YEP. He dropped the hammer.
Baldwin has still not been arrested or charged. More proof of the clear, two tiered justice system in this country.
I enjoyed the solemn music cue right at the time the tears started to flow. dope had a live round on the barrel when he cocked the gun and released it but I didn’t pull the trigger
Or if he unintentionally squeezed the trigger as he drew the gun.
Possibly
Or if the sear was badly worn
Possible, but highly unlikely
C’mon Roscoe. Give us a sign.
I haven’t seen a recent photo. Responses here make me reluctant to look for one. If they choose to seek attention by weighing in on each other’s misfortune, I guess that’s their business. Yes, expectations are low. Is there a reason that I’d care what he thinks? Is he selling something? Is there a 50 th Anniversary box set of TDOH coming out?
Both original SAAs and early Pietta replicas have a half-cock notch on the hammer. If the hammer is dropped without the trigger held back the hammer will stop on the half-cock notch. Later Pietta replicas have a transfer bar added to the mechanism.
Bottom line: No matter what he has convinced himself of, the trigger HAD to be pulled for the gun to fire.
Still good looking too! Aging well 😉. Just in need of some levity 😊
Not to get too far afield but “Tex” Grubner shooting him self is one of my favorite vids:

Trigger fingers can be rouge elements in the situation.
