Look at history of this country since 1492 when Columbus sailed
the ocean blue. Rulers come and go, leaders come and go and the
populace changes either by force or complacency. So be it for our
short few years of life on this planet.
Plan for the after death future what ever that may be for the soul.
They are the highest official in their state. The Texas constitution gives Abbott that power. Abbott could close the Texas border with the stroke of a pen.
He could but it would take money from somewhere to do it. You can’t just close the door.

By next Wednesday another 100,000 or more will enter.
It wouldn't take that much more in resources than he is already utilizing and spending now at the border.

Recently the Speaker of the TX House Dade Phelan (R) attended an event for the Democrats in the Rio Grande Valley. These were Dems who fled TX to avoid voter ID. Meanwhile up the road there was a Republican event...Phelan was a no-show to that. AND we are making big inroads with the Hispanic community in RGV so Phelan undercut that. For all intents, he’s another Johnson Democrat like Bush
