Yes yes. Single action revolvers can have very light triggers. None of this changes that fact that he had to cock it first. And if you let the hammer slip on those old pistols without transfer bar safeties they can go off too. And if you drop them with a live round under the hammer even when it isn’t cocked it can go off. This is why you NEVER POINT AT GUN AT ANYTHING YOU DON’T INTEND TO SHOOT.

He still held the gun. He is still responsible for its discharge, accidental or not. These lawyers are just trying to confuse the issue and give the Soros DA an excuse to let Barwin off scot free.

My position all along. And even if it did shoot all by itself it didn’t point at somebody all by itself.

Even when doing a scene someone shoots toward the camera for effect, they never do it with someone directly behind them camera.

Or so I’ve read

He was likely playing Quickdraw McGraw with it

What sucks, it doesn’t sound like there’s much in NM law that allows for much criminal penalty. Especially since the DA is a flaming lib

Hopefully, since the bar for civil liability is much lower, he gets it in the wallet, good and hard
