Border security has been a reliable winner at the polls since the 90’s, but it became obvious to me in ‘94 that the GOPe is part of the problem. The challenge next November is to get more solid pro-border candidates in the GOP races, and the challenge after that is for the base to hold their feet to the fire.
It’s an uphill battle, but it’s better than surrendering to cynicism, or the “black pill” as the kids these days would have it.
