Dr. Anthony Fauci has been the target of criticism due to his handling or rather mishandling of the coronavirus. As the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci has flip-flopped his stance on the efficacy of using masks and has voiced warnings about using Ivermectin to treat COVID, while other doctors and also other countries have proof that it is effective against the virus and reduces the mortality rate. Fauci has also been a proponent of the vaccine amidst controversy that the vaccine has not been tested enough to fully understand its efficacy and possible side effects. Also, his downplaying of the lab leak theory has come under fire. Former President Donald Trump called Fauci “a disaster” and had contemplated removing him from his position because of his handling of the virus. Fauci continues to defend his position saying his decisions are based on scientific data.
This is not the first time or the first situation where Dr. Fauci has been accused of withholding vital information and treatments in the shadow of a deadly virus. In the late 1980’s, AIDS was running rampant and Dr. Fauci being the head of infectious disease at the National Institute of Health, he was given the task of managing the outbreak and preventing further spread of the virus. This was not done with any measure of efficiency either and he was the recipient of much criticism at that time. Anthony Fauci and The Drug Bactrim
The drug, Bactrim was introduced as a treatment for the AIDS virus. There were studies showing that it prevented a certain type of pneumonia which killed many AIDS patients. Many doctors and AIDS advocates asked Dr. Fauci to endorse the drug and push for its approval to save lives, but Fauci refused. Even though he had received the evidence that Bactrim was effective, he went on record publicly and encouraged AIDS patients not to take the drug and that it was dangerous for people with HIV. This led to protests among AIDS advocates. Today Bactrim is recognized by the US government as a treatment, but thousands died as a result of Fauci’s attempt to stop the use of the drug.
Another example of Dr. Fauci’s inconsistencies when it comes to treatments for the corona virus is the use of hydroxychloroquine. Social media posts claim there was an email from Dr. Fauci urging a family member to use the drug to treat the virus but then in a press conference later that evening, Fauci criticized Donald Trump for saying this drug was useful in fighting the virus. Critics have questioned his hypocritical his role as a scientific expert during the pandemic and claim to have proof of emails showing Fauci saying one thing privately and something else publicly. Of course, there are supporters of Fauci who say those emails do not exist. Fauci had said that the drug needed more trials to prove its effectiveness and identify other possible health risks of using the drug. In other emails, Fauci admitted the drug showed effectiveness but that he was waiting on other reports to confirm this by the National Institute of Health.
In the light of all the misinformation from Dr. Fauci, one thing rings true. Whether of not you are a supporter and whether or not you believe that emails were found showing his inconsistencies, it is very difficult to trust with any certainty his opinions on the treatment of the corona virus. Most recently, Dr. Fauci as been in support of vaccine mandates and states that getting the pandemic under control could require many more of these mandates. The vaccine has also received criticism with claims that it has caused major health problems and even death in some patients. In light of this, individual freedom to not take the vaccine being taken away is very concerning. The Delta
variant and its high transmission rate has been the reason Dr. Fauci has given as the reason for needing more vaccine mandates. With only 74 percent of the US population being vaccinated, it is likely that Fauci will continue to push for this.

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
There is no mention of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, or anything like it, in the Constitution.
What's going with many federal agencies that are sticking their big noses into our lives is this. Some of today's federal agencies originated as bonafide military support organizations and other agencies justifiable under Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
But such agencies were later wrongly unconstitutionally given power to dictate policy to the sovereign states by post-17th Amendment ratification elected leaders who evidently didn't know about the fed's constitutionally limited powers any better than the voters who elected them do.
Insights welcome.
The ultimate remedy for unconstitutionally big, alleged election-stealing, Democratic Party-pirated federal and state governments oppressing everybody under their boots...
Consider that all the states can effectively “secede” from the unconstitutionally big federal government by doing the following.
Patriots need to primary federal and state elected officials who don't send voters email ASAP that clearly promises to do the following.
Federal and state lawmakers need to promise in their emails to introduce resolutions no later than 100 days after start of new legislative sessions that proposes an amendment to the Constitution to the states, the amendment limited to repealing the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments (16&17A) so little, if any, debate is needed.
In fact, I challenge the states to ram the repeal amendment for 16&17A through the ratification process faster than Nancy Pelosi irresponsibly rammed unconstitutional Obamacare through the House.
Again, insights welcome.
Does anyone have a link or something concrete about the emails Fauci allegedly sent regarding HCQ?
If you want to know much more about Fauci and our health bureaucracy I would strongly urge you to read RFK Jr’s new book on the subject. It is very well written and it will shock you. “Out of control” and agents of big pharma does not even begin to describe them.

“Is it [GAIN-OF-FUNCTION] research being done in North Carolina? Zachery Eanes Jul. 22
GAIN-OF-FUNCTION research has been done in NORTH CAROLINA, most notably at the lab of UNC-Chapel Hill researcher Ralph Baric.
Baric is one of the world’s preeminent coronavirus researchers, beginning his study of the family of viruses in the 1990s before they were seen as potentially pandemic-level dangerous to humans.
Baric has used GAIN-OF-FUNCTION techniques to show how coronaviruses could evolve to infect humans and to test new vaccine methods to neutralize them.
This research, and his co-byline with a CHINESE SCIENTIST on a 2015 paper, has made him the subject of many conspiracy theories over the past year over the origin of COVD-19. But the virus Baric used in the 2015 paper is a completely different strain from the one that causes COVID-19.
The 2015 paper, co-authored with more than a dozen other scientists, INCLUDING one associated with the WUHAN Institute of Virology, a lab located near the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak, showed coronaviruses in bats were capable of directly infecting humans rather than evolving in another animal first.
Bats have been shown to be responsible for other coronaviruses in the past, like SARS and MERS, though the virus passed through a different animal host before infecting humans in those cases. To prove the theory, scientists created a a hybrid version of a bat coronavirus (the GAIN-OF-FUNCTION in this experiment) and used it to infect mice whose modified genomes mimicked human lung receptors.
This experiment was already underway when the GOVERNMENT MORATORIUM on GAIN-OF-FUNCTION research was IMPOSED. But it was granted an EXEMPTION by the National Institutes of Health under a clause that allowed GAIN-OF-FUNCTION research if it was necessary to protect public health, The MIT Technology Review reported.”
Baric noted in his paper the large safety precautions taken for his research, including the fact that it was done in a biosafety level 3 lab, air-locked to keep potential airborne toxins from escaping. But EVEN AR BARIC’S LAB, accidents have happened, including a researcher being bitten by an infected mouse.
In the paper, Baric noted that the MERITS of this type of research were being debated. “The potential to prepare for and mitigate future outbreaks must be weighed against the RISK of creating more dangerous pathogens,” he wrote. “Scientific review panels may deem similar studies building chimeric viruses based on circulating strains too risky to pursue.”
But Baric’s work had critics. “THE ONLY IMPACT OF THIS WORK IS THE CREATION, in a lab, of a NEW, NON-NATURAL RISK,” Richard Ebright, a molecular biologist and biodefence expert at Rutgers University, told Nature.
