Ethan Crumbley, his parents had school meeting over ‘behavior’ just hours before attack

Accused Oxford High School shooter Ethan Crumbley was hauled into the Michigan school with his parents over his “behavior in the classroom” just hours before the deadly rampage.

After first being talked to by school officials on Monday, Crumbley and his parents were hauled into the school Tuesday to meet with administrators, a short time before he allegedly committed the shootings that left four students dead and seven others wounded, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said Wednesday.

“We also were told that the school had some information or some kind of contact with the school,” Bouchard said at a press briefing.

“We have since learned that the school did have contact with the student the day before and the day of the shooting for behaviors in the classroom that they felt was concerning,” he said. “In fact, the parents were brought in the morning of the shooting and had a face-to-face meeting with the school. The content of that meeting of course is part of the investigation.”

Bouchard said school officials told investigators there was no record that Crumbley had ever been bullied, despite reports from other students that he had been targeted.

Students usually don't report bullying b/c they know the consequences can be much worse if they do.

I dealt with bullies by fists. They were humiliated which is worse than death.

What I’m picking up on social media is more like, “the gun was running around shooting people by itself”. Kid look kinda normal— wonder what he was being bullied over? There’s a heck of a lot not being said. (Like why he was running around with a gun, if his parents were called in that morning)

Weird stuff going on with this story.

If there were NO reports of bullying - then why call in the family for a meeting about conduct?

Or were they really having the meeting about his social media posts?

Was the bullying/attack racially motivated? I know that the media were trying to lead from that angle initially but he killed the white football jock too (who we all know is WASP-Republican because... narratives)

The really fun part is watching the media stories between Darryl Brooks and this kid.
I wonder if they’ll care about his inhumane treatment in prison...

I don’t know if the parents are at fault or not for the kids obviously psychopathic personality - but assuming they weren’t, you gotta feel bad for them having to live with this for the rest of their lives.

Their life as they thought it would be, is over and at least for the next several years will be like a bad dream they can’t wake up from *every day*

Life ain’t easy for a boy named Ethan Crumbley. He will be incarcerated, no doubt, where he will refine and sell his art, and be released quicker than you can say John Hinckley, with whom he shares a mug shot.

School psychologists had ample time to intervene. Reliance on them is usually regrettable and sometimes, as now, tragic.

His father should be prosecuted for allowing his son to get the gun.

I would think 2 parents are good but the kid was troubled. Throw in the bullying and a system that sweeps it under the rug and these things will happen.

A troubled kid should be put into a boarding school M-F while the parents work 60 hours. Quality family time on the weekends. Public schools is where one learns how to fight.

I’m not a teacher, school administrator or child psychologist, but it seems logical, even common sense, that if a student’s behavior warrants a meeting with the parents, a prudent measure would be to remove the student’s access to firearms by court order. Either that, or put the kid into a different school. Preferably “special education” where their behavior / mental issues can be addressed.

With that in mind, whatever happened to special education schools? When I was in school in the 1970s - 1980s, it was normal for the kids with behavioral problems (autism, antisocial personalities, aggression and self-control problems to be diagnosed by the school before 2nd or 3rd grade and removed from “normal” school into special ed schools.

Have the liberal fascists running our schools stopped this practice? Do special ed schools still exist? If so, why aren’t these child sociopaths being diagnosed and placed there?

That kid has an awful mean look in his eyes. I doubt he was on the receiving end of bullying.......
