Democrats are gaining ground in growing, urbanizing, racially diverse states.
Democratic candidates prevailed in Arizona and Georgia by running up the score in Phoenix and Atlanta. Democratic voters, at least temporarily, have threatened GOP dominance in Texas by adding votes in the state’s growing metropolitan areas. And they wiped out the GOP in Colorado and Virginia by dominating Denver and the suburbs of D.C.
But there’s an important exception to this pattern: Florida.
Florida is home to expanding metros such as Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville. Almost half of Floridians are people of color, and the state’s population is increasing. Yet Florida voted for Donald Trump twice, sent two Republicans to the Senate and elected a string of Republican governors.
Why? Two demographic realities are helping the GOP.
Republicans are gaining ground outside major metros In Arizona, Georgia, Colorado and Virginia, Democrats cashed in on population growth: They captured millennials, affluent suburbanites and immigrants who flocked to expanding cities, held onto Black voters and overpowered Republicans from small, stagnant metros and no-growth towns.
But, in Florida, these small metros and towns grew faster than cities such as Miami.

Ping.
Democrats grow only where printed fiat money and massive government debt flow to enforce massive bureaucracy, political agents, and its many clients.
end that, and you kill progressivism forever.
Sadly black control of major cities with large populations allowed them to fraudulently run up the score in these urban areas and steal the election in multiple states.
Blacks are the weak link in the American chain right now and are targeted by communists and foreign adversaries looking to divide and conquer and the elites that use them as grist for the DemonRat machine.
They need to stop celebrating and marching for thugs and wake up spiritually or they’ll continue us down the path to decline.
When ever you read a WP article then you can be totally sure that you are being sold a bill of goods. Same with “The Hill”.
Demographics means illegals crossing the border.

“GOP (which now controls the entire state government of VA) was wiped out in Virginia”.
Got it, Bezos Fake News service.
Running up the score in Phoenix and Atlanta?
Nope. Should be "cheated up the score...".
The GOP can’t be afraid to go after Black voters. Many of them are pretty fed up with the Democrats’ policies, and only need to be treated as adults who know their own interest. They will appreciate the change.
Whoops! 😈
Trump did make some progress with Black males in 2020. Black females might be harder, they are more likely to depend on the government. Just my .02.
They don’t mention that DeSantis cleaned up Florida’s elections.
Clean up those other state elections and they’ll move to red also.
Just how do you “go after” black voters? Screw the race hustling, leave the pandering to the Democrats...
and NO DOMINION for additional cheating. Same thing in TX. Both GOP governors cleaned up the process.
Miami Daee county aka Miami is supposed to be totally blue. The Dems were surprised that Trump voters grew TWICE in a “blue county”. This was not supposed to happen, yet it did.
The ghetto animals burning and looting helped too.
States should assign electoral college votes by district instead of winner-takes-all.
They do that in Maine and Nebraska. No reason others can do the same. Good luck on doing that in California. So why should we do the same in Florida and Texas?
Quoting an election expert:
“Florida did not get redder than the rest of the country. They just have better data”.
Meaning Florida shifted 3 points right when DeSantis fired the mafia that ran the supposedly Democrat dominated counties and cleaned up the election laws.
