Meh. They don’t care. They’re trashing things beyond repair. A small delay while Republicans pretend to care isn’t anything but a bother.

“Tired blood” is being let from the veins of the body politic. Lets us hope that the coming transfusion of new blood is successful.

A lot of “institutional memory” is being drained away as well. Some things are not worthy of being memorialized.

Will the GOP do anything productive once taking back the House?

************

Unlikely, all they want is to get elected. They don’t want to do productive work to advance the conservative agenda.

GOP will take both houses easily with big majorities

*************

And squander their majorities. The GOP simply doesn’t play to win.

It will be 19 Democrats...

...if the Lizard is primaried successfully (thus "abandoning" her seat as a consequence of abandoning her constituents, heh heh).

There was a time a headline like this would have me cheering, or at least optimistic. Now I just shrug and say, “so what?”

Thanks, GOP-E and Conservative, Inc.! *Spit*

The trashing will continue. The pace may slow a bit while the useless GOP is in control but you’re right — they don’t really care. If they did the federal government would be a lot smaller and far less overbearing than it is today.

The GOP will be house sitters until the Dems come back.

The Lizard is the darling of the GOP-e. They’ll do everything they can to keep her in her seat.

Not to be a killjoy but not a veto proof majority.

IF the repoooblicans had a spine a majority might change the agenda but they never have and what makes us think they will ever?

It will only matter if we elect better Republicans.

Bush League Republicans will only ever be Assistant Democrats.

NY democrats will pack the GOP areas into Lee Zeldin’s district, making this district and the other two on Long Island safe Democrat.

You may be correct. However, the only person less popular than Harris is Pelosi. As a visual having a Pres and VP both female may give the RATS some bragging rights. Considering that Ted Buddy and John Wayne Casey would poll higher than Harris/Pelosi, it would indicate the RATS expect a Cateresque type ass kicking in 2024. Why else put the two most unpopular female politicians on the same ticket. Hell, only ticket worse would be a Talib/Omar ticket😂😂😂

"Yeah...the House will flip - likely the Senate, too."

But if it's from Demonicrat to RINOcrat, there's not much difference, especially if the House and Senate leadership are RINOcrat.

I’ve committed myself to vote against any incumbent Republican in office IN THEIR PRIMARIES if I live that long. There are a rare few exceptions, but as a rule that’s what I’m gonna do.

Republican majorities will temporarily prevent the Left from passing legislation. But most of their recent victories have come from administrative and judicial overreach.

The GOP will take “control” just in time to get the blame for Biden’s economic incompetence.

I believe one thing they could do (but probably won’t) is to remove some of the radical Dems (e.g., Squad, Swalwell, etc) from powerful committees and those that deal in national security matters.

This should be the least they can do. But they are spineless.

Or at least hit them with a one-time moving in tax in the amount they have squandered while in office. ;-)

There’s no sense in voting for anyone who isn’t absolutely committed to reducing the size, scope and power of government.

It should be Job #1 for every conservative congress person.
