Since the 2016 election, there has been no question about Donald Trump’s stranglehold on the Republican Party. But generally speaking, we’ve learned about that through attrition — party members who run afoul of him voluntarily heading for the exits, rather than trying their luck with GOP primary voters.

So no battle necessary. But...another anti-Trump republican gone.
He'll probably try to get an appointment from Biden, like Weld did from Clinton.
“stranglehold”
Nope.
No bias there,
“Stranglehold”
Ha ha ha
Washpost makes Goebbels proud
We MUST stop re-electing Bush League Republicans.
Even the ones Trump endorses.
Rubio and Hoeven have voted for amnesty, you can’t be more Assistant Democrat than that.
My family is voting against Brian Kemp.
We’re going to work hard first in the primary and then if the loser prevails we’ll do it again in the general election and then if the loser prevails we’ll do it again in the runoff...whatever it takes to punish all of the traitors to Georgia by removing them from office, come low or high water.
2020 was an eye opener - RINOs are worse than Democrats, in the long run.
It’s not Trump’s stranglehold … it’s we the people, Trump is the mechanism
Indeed

We are too. At this point, I don’t know how Kemp could win. As it stands now, I’m voting for Vernon Jones and Herschel Walker.
He is a Trump-obsessed POS moron. He is a pencil necked MN leftist posing as a journalist. Truly, a maggot.
Were a staunch conservative like Kemp to lose on specifically this issue ....... Kemp is NOT a staunch Conservative. Never has been. There were some others in the race that would have been far better than him(at least on paper) but name recognition put him and Cagle in a runoff. Cagle is worse than Kemp and that is saying a lot. Sadly, I think Kemp stands a chance to win again, but he’ll do so without my vote. If Perdue runs, I’m in. But I’m also not against Jones, either.
As for Raffensberger, he must owe some folks an awful lot to think he has a chance. They’re running commercials for him, but they’re wasting money on him.
And thank the Lord that Duncan isn’t running again. He’s probably the worst of the bunch, doing everything he can to sell out the people to Big Tech and turn the state into another Washington or Oregon.
