The range of excellence was considerably more variable, in the Black kids I endured in high school. Some were out to excel in STEM and liberal arts courses; others only cared about football and basketball.

The Asian kids ruin the grading curve, simple as that. The Asians make good grades, exposing many blacks as stupid and
unmotivated to excel. The reaction by some blacks is to respond with violence knowing authorities won’t do anything about it.
I don't understand why most Asian-Americans overwhelmingly vote Democrat, be they of Armenian, Indian, Chinese, Korean or Japanese extraction. Welfare state socialism would seem to be out of synch with their mindsets and cultures.
Black supremacy is not the problem. The problem is Asians came to the US - moved into poor communities, sent their kids to inferior schools, insisted their children study and become proficient and were able to send them to the best Universities - ON MERIT.
With the advantages of a superior culture they started businesses, children succeeded at college, they achieved the American dream and moved in to middle and upper class neighborhoods WHERE THEY WERE WELCOMED.
Blacks saw it as 'cutting in line' - they were wrong.
Asians showed by example that decent values, strong families, and playing by the rules led to success. And they did it without grants, welfare, put asides, political bosses or graft. Every Asian became a reminder failure was NOT caused by 'the white man' but by cultural inadequacies... (black citizens had a superior culture in many ways up until the Great Society but their dependence on the democrat party - the party of anti-black racism, slavery and the KKK destroyed a culture that had survived slavery, Jim Crow and endless intimidation)

Wouldn't that require some basic reasoning and self-assessment skills? Some empathy? The ability to view yourself as others see you? A desire for self-improvement and self-advancement?
Yeah, but those are all traits of "white culture" and will never be adopted.

Democrats want power. "Equity" is a justification for that power, but you will never see Nancy Pelosi promoting "housing equity" if it means that she must give up here new Florida beach house. Housing equity means you have to pay more taxes to more pay for the poor's crappy government housing, preferably in your neighborhood. You'll never find a section 8 shack on Nancy's beach.
