My thought as well.
Could also have a lot to do with the fact that he's 15, therefore a juvenile. If he is charged as an adult, then it's ok to release his name. Michigan laws, doncha know.

I will admit I can understand the motivation. I saw some kids get picked on to the point I expect the have issues 40 years later. It’s why I raised my boys to stand tall against that, talked to their friends about being men and stand tall …. Not sure if it helped anyone but I hope it did. The one issue when 3 boys in 8th grade physically (my opinion assaulted) picked on a boy in the locker room - I told the principal that the police (who were called) would be called to his house because I was now holding him personally responsible for the behavior in that locker room. The benefit of living in a small deep red state redder town. Everyone knows everyone.
At least one FBI guy was there.
Breaks my heart to hear about this bullied kid. It could be any of our kids these days because bullying has gotten worse IMO. My 11 yo grandson is brilliant & handsome & funny, but he’s gotten bullied in school because he’s so nerdy. It’s better this year because the main bully moved to a different school, but kids can be so cruel and I worry about him in HS.
Sure, just look at the homicide stats for Cook County IL for 2021.
Looking at the school demographics, I suspect not as well.
FWIW, my 10-year old son is in the 5th grade and there's an extremely autistic (white) kid in his class who everyday has an explosive episode where he goes crazy and breaks stuff.
Because all the kids have Chromebooks, my son has taken it upon himself to surreptitiously record this kid's outbursts. He showed me a video the other day. I implored him to not get caught recording this kid and to, whatever he does, not post the footage online (my kid has a TikTok account).
First thing I thought was, this kid does not belong in a normal classroom. He's too disruptive. He needs special-ed.
Second thing I thought, this is the type of kid who is going to shoot the place up.
I felt horrible for this poor boy, seriously emotionally disabled, who needs special attention that he is not getting in a regular classroom. He is only getting frustrated and enraged. What are teachers continuing to mainstream intellectually-disabled children into regular classes?
Meanwhile in Aurora, CO, three shooting of teens in 2 weeks gets............ doesn’t meet “the narrative” so the lame stream media is 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
So a black adult woman knew that there was something dangerous going to happen at the school and DIDN’T alert the police and the school?
This kid left pics of his notebook about “com together revolution” in Greek in his notebook and several satanic looking messages.
He left more to find. Apparently, he threw red paint on the school and a dear head as well. This was 3 weeks ago. There’s a kid like this at many schools. Don’t know what set him off.
Yep, I grew up not far from there...definitely doubt there is any racial component to the shooting in that area. Just a bullied kid who snapped, most likely.
My suspicions as well. BUT! No evidence yet, no names - particularly no 3-name-redneck white names. No photos.
What might have set him off is one bullying session too many.
