Former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has reached an initial deal to cooperate with the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, providing documents and agreeing to testify before the panel.
“Mr. Meadows has been engaging with the Select Committee through his attorney. He has produced records to the committee and will soon appear for an initial deposition,” Chair Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) said Tuesday.
“The Select Committee expects all witnesses, including Mr. Meadows, to provide all information requested and that the Select Committee is lawfully entitled to receive. The committee will continue to assess his degree of compliance with our subpoena after the deposition.”

Well probably, from the committee, it’s been determined that the fbi did a piss poor job of concluding there was nothing conspiratorial about 1/6.

Meadows took out Boehner. He’s solid.
I think we should all calm down here. Trump in his recent interview wants the facts laid out. Meadows has maintained a very close relationship with Trump and was following his lead. He has been loyal.
I don’t think I have to remind you that headlines from the Jan 6th Committee have been hyperbolic (see the story about Bernie attending some mysterious meeting).
Rather than jump on Meadows let’s wait and see where this goes. So far, their committee has looked like a clown show but don’t expect headlines from the MSM to reflect that.
The blue checks on Twitter are ecstatic...they see this as a real ‘end of Trump’ moment. I love Trump but he has one major flaw.. he doesn’t inspire loyalty in his underlings. When he is reelected in 2024 we need to keep an eye on who he surrounds himself with. We need someone like Stephen Miller to enforce loyalty in the way Jarret did for Obama.
Big win for the democrats.

None of this matters. There’s nothing there. Nobody in the white house told those doofs to enter the building.
Meadows isn’t going to turn on Trump, because Trump didn’t do anything.

They accused Kerik of attending some mysterious meeting at the Willard Hotel in DC where they allege that the “plotters” held some nefarious meeting. They cited Woodward’s book but even Woodward says Kerik was not mentioned in his book. Kerik had toll receipts and records showing he was not in DC on that date. The committee apologized to him and withdrew their assertion about him.
