Massachusetts could soon roll out a digital COVID-19 vaccination passport, Gov. Charlie Baker said Monday afternoon on GBH News’ Boston Public Radio.
Massachusetts is part of a coalition of states — somewhere between 15 and 20, Baker estimated — working to develop the technology. Baker displayed his personal QR code, attesting to his vaccination status, to hosts Jim Braude and Margery Eagan.
“This is my proof that I’ve been vaccinated. It’s easy to access, it’s a universal standard and we’ve been working with a bunch of other states,” Baker said, adding the passport could launch “soon.”

Last April, Baker said the state had no plans to launch a mandated vaccine passport system, describing it as a hurdle to getting more residents inoculated.
“I want to vaccinate people,” Baker said at the time. “Let’s get people vaccinated.”
Yet by September, Baker warmed up to the idea, saying people needed an easier way to prove their protection against COVID-19.

All midterm candidates should be asked to sign an agreement that they agree that they should be hung if they ever vote for anything remotely resembling a vaccine passport. And any citizen can perform said Hanging at any time they find the candidate and that citizen will not be prosecuted.

Health care facilities and foreign countries are the exceptions. We just visited Canada last month and were required to show proof of vaccination at the border. We did so because Canada is a sovereign nation that has the right to set her own laws. As far as health care...I'm at the age where I can't be narrowing my options when I'm sick.
If vaxxed and unvaxxed catch and transmit covid at the same rate, what is the justification for demanding vaccination?
That should be the response of anyone who is vaccinated and willingly chose to get vaccinated. Visiting a foreign country you’re responsible to for following their laws and possibly healthcare. No one should ever patronize a restaurant that requires you to show proof of vaccination.
These left us always talk about following the science and how vaccines work, but don’t trust the vaccine to protect them from people who haven’t had the vaccine. They refuse to admit that they don’t trust the vaccine.
i want the names of the other 15-20 states. I doubt there are that many, Hawaii, NY, MA, IL, OR, CA, WA, VT, NH RI, CN, ME, CO makes 13, surprising but I could see those. Scratch all those off thr vacay list and watch their population numbers plummet. Could be good thing, more conservative minded folks flee to free states & purple ones making them more red, gaining more seats in House

Guess again. The QR credential is just an image, so a paper with the QR is equivalent to what is displayed on the phone.
Sounds like something that could cause the country to separate in two. As for the constitution, the petty dictators in power pretty much wipe their butts with it these days.

He was term limited out in 2018 after two terms, but can now run again.
If RAT governor Janet Mills pulls this crap in Maine, Le Page will be all but guaranteed a near landslide win next November.
The Second Congressional District, 27,000 square miles and 80% of Maine, is strong Trump country and was carried by him in 2016 and 2020, winning him one electoral vote each time.

Ok.....”a digital COVID-19 vaccination passport’.....but Voter ID isn’t required.
I saw a video recently that said smart phones are coming equipped with specific tracking technology for vaccine passports and will also have the capability of going through anything you have ever put in your search engine for the purpose of assessing your social credit worthiness.
My question to the Massachusetts governor:
What about folks without smartphones?
