According to the police, several hundred people protested against the state's coronavirus measures in Saxon cities yesterday. Saxony's CoV emergency ordinance only allows stationary rallies with a maximum of ten participants. The number was exceeded in all cases.
According to a police spokesman in Freiberg, around 700 people took part in unauthorized "Corona walk". The attempt to address them early on and to dissolve the meeting has "been of little fruit". The unregistered "walks" and actions were directed as far as possible from the city center and proceeded quietly.
Several hundred people also demonstrated in Chemnitz and Zwickau in protest against th CoV policy. Up to 300 people have meanwhile been on the streets. Around 25 advertisments were also recorded during the operation in Chemnitz. According to the police, there were also protests in Dresden, Neustadt in Saxony, Pirna, Sebnitz, Riesa and Grossenhain.
