I’ve read some analysis that says the ChiComs are going to electric cars powered by hundreds of new coal power plants to conserve petroleum for their military.
Where is the coal going to come from?
The problem China is having right now is they were getting a lot of coal from Australia. The PM of OZ said the origins of covid should be investigated regarding its potential Wuhan origins. Xi(the CCP) did not like that and stopped coal imports(and other things) from OZ.
So, without coal from OZ they had to cut electricity production. They literally shut down factories across the country. This has been one of the main reasons behind the global supply shortage. This is why all that crap made in China is behind schedule.
